Deathtrap wurde Anfang 2006 von Achim Mueller und Simon Burkart (The Slightest Evil) gegründet. Kurz darauf kamen Lukas, Adrian und Marc hinzu und machten somit die Band komplett! Die ersten Monate wurden zahlreiche Ideen umgesetzt und intensiv songs geschrieben. Am 3. Juni wurde dann die erste Show im B-hof als Local support der ILLDISPOSED/deadsoil/demia - tour gespielt und man bekam darauf gleich positives feedback zu hören.Im Sommer 06 wurde dann die erste Demo aufgenommen und Simon verließ aus zeitlichen Gründen die Band. Darauf wurde ein neuer Gitarrist gesucht welcher mit Benjamin gefunden war.Musikalisch verbinden Deathtrap metallischen Groove mit eingängigen Thrash-Melodien und der Aggression des Hardcore. Textlich geht es um sehr persönliche Dinge, Gedanken und Erlebnisse.

Deathtrap was founded in spring 2006 by Achim Mueller and Simon Burkart (The Slightest Evil). A short time later Lukas, Adrian and Marc completed the band. The first few months a lot of songs and ideas were written. On June the 3rd the first show was played at the B-hof/Würzburg as local support for ILLDISPOSED and we got very positive feedback straight after that.In summer 06 the first demo was recorded and Simon had to leave the band because of not having that much time nomore. So a new guitar-player was searched and found with Benjamin.Deathtrap are putting the groove of Metal together with Thrash-melodies and the aggression of Hardcore. The Lyrics are much about very personal things, toughts and experiences.
