Living Proofe was born and raised in the great city of Philadelphia, Pa., on the east side, in a section known as Germantown. Son of a minister, and grandson of a local jazz artist, Living Proofe built an appreciation for music through records, singers, and learning to play the trumpet. He began to write and work on rap music towards the end of high school. However, it was not until he moved to Pittsburgh that he learned more about himself and his calling as an artist and teacher.
Upon moving to Pittsburgh Living Proofe gained knowledge of himself and his art. While attending the University of Pittsburgh, he kept on his game performing whenever he could. He began working with artists at the school, such as DJ B-Bonics and Black Sun. While at the University o Pittsburgh, Living Proofe met up with the production team known as T.R.I.B.E, LLC, who produced 70% of his first album. He also met and began working with an artist called Starvin, as well as E-Dan (formerly of the group Strict Flow) now based out of ID Labs. Living Proofe began performing with the members of RXC, Classic 1824 – CI, Knowledge-Build, Sha-King, Na-bri, Sincere-Master, Seven, Zhyier, and Angeleye in 2004, and has been doing shows since then. Living Proofe also began working with the very talented Intangible Elements, also from Philly. Doing shows in and around the Pittsburgh area RXC, Classic 1824 became a staple in the Hip Hop community, by bringing knowledge and awareness back to hip hop. With the backing of good production, and sound lyrics, Living Proofe put out his first solo album under Classic 1824 Music, entitled, “The Movement†released February 23, 2007. Living Proofe does discuss real life terms and ideas: knowledge, money, women, wisdom, status, and understanding what is going on throughout communities all over. Living Proofe is considered a very strong voice for hip hop in Pittsburgh. Since “The Movement†release, Living Proofe has been performing for the likes of many in Pittsburgh and the Northeast. While performing, Living Proofe is still writing and in the studio preparing for the release of “Silent Separation, a mixtape featuring Sha-King (Classic 1824), Charon Don (Good Hands Records), Jiz-Lo (Mike Watts Records), BZE, Black Sun, A-Jaxx, Green Tea, Sonasha Braxton, and many others.
