I'm a pretty straightforward person. I enjoy being on the computer and working with graphics and website design. I love to read. I absolutely adore my kids and would have had more if I could. My boys are my universe and I cherish every day with them. I'm sort of the neighborhood mom and there are always extra kids in my house. I love it! I would much rather have the kids here than hanging out on the streets doing L'rd knows what! The kids talk to me about everything and I'm glad they feel comfortable enough to do so.
I'm a special ed teacher but as you see from my blogs, I am unfortunately currently unemployed. I will have to say that after 8 1/2 years of teaching in a twelve month position, it's been nice being home with my kids this summer, but I miss teaching desperately and I am praying that another school will get past the rumors and speculation and take the time to learn what a good teacher I am. I am still amazed with all the people out there hurting kids, that I am in the situation I'm in, but I have been vindicated because the state offered a settlement meaning they KNEW they didn't have anything to take the case through arbitration with.
I absolutely love music and as you can see from my music selection, I listen to everything. I was raised on 60's folk rock and will listen to Joan Baez, PPM, CCR, CSNY, Bob Dylan, and Arlo any time... but then, I'm also a kid of the 80's and love Poison, White Snake, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Guns and Roses and the like. I then got into more "alternative" music and listen to Old School Rap and then into 2Pac and DMX (my personal favs) and now enjoy listening to Eminem, Young Jeezy, Chamillionaire, T.I., Yung Joc, and Nas. If I haven't confused you enough with my music tastes, I also LOVE Simple Plan, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Deftones, and then I listen to pop stuff like PCD, Mario Vazquez, Destiny's Child, Ne-Yo, Nickelback, Eamon, and so on. Oh! I almost forgot to mention Queen and Pink Floyd- shame on me! There's almost nothing I won't listen to.
I like to think of myself as perceptive and intuitive, caring and kind to a fault, and a good friend. I'm just here looking to meet people and enjoy some adult (meaning mature, not obscene) conversation. If you can look beyond my appearance and judge me by whom I am... add me as a friend and get to know me better!
