CICERO is a hard working band that was formed in April of 2006 in Milwaukie, Oregon by The Subcon (LMNOP, Royalty Wears Thorns, Morning After Spring, Red Collar Syndrome, Pinguino, The Veracious), Robbie "Bouncy" Arnold (Desario) and brothers Justin Price(Five Minutes Cooler, Penelope’s House of Apes, The Glee Club, Glowing Moses, Royalty Wears Thorns) and Cory "Chunker" Price (Desario). Fueled by a passion for Christ, and a longing for a refreshing of the music scene, CICERO, dove into the past and dug up the graves of such groundbreaking acts as SUNNY DAY REAL ESTATE, FRODUS, BRAID, ROADSIDE MONUMENT, HUSKER DU, and MINERAL and paying homage to some current faves like SONIC YOUTH, FUGAZI, UNWED SAILOR, CURSIVE, and APPLESEED CAST.
Shortly before CICERO’S Fall Tour in 2007, Robby Arnold announced that he would be leaving the band to pursue other interests- including getting engaged. We wish him the best and bass duties are now be performed by Brandon Shewbert (Stillvoice).
In CICERO’S Short Existence, they have had a chance to play with many great bands and artists, from all over the country- and even the world, including Airplane to Nowhere (Fresno), Odds of Falling (Madera), Kat Jones (Nashville), Amber Voltaire, Ruth (Vancouver), The Empty, Love Hate Hero (Orange County), Vanna (Boston), Blinded Black (St Louis), Roses are Red (Long Island), Rookie of the Year (Fayetteville NC), Lost Ocean (Bakersfield), Scenes From a Movie (Charleston), Morello (Ireland), Adio Sequence, Four Letter Lie (Minneapolis), Now We Are Six (Bay area), Jena Berlin (Philadelphia), Ivoryline (Texas), 1090 Club (Billings, Montana), Heliocentric (Seattle), Slowly We Survive (Bellingham, Washington) and many more. They have also toured regionally throughout Oregon, california, Washington, Idaho, and Montana, and have played TOM Fest, The Extreme Tour, and X Fest.
CICERO is known for putting on high energy live shows, and like to include covers from bands such as The Weakerthans, Jimmy Eat World, The Get UP Kids, Pedro the Lion, and others. They take the music business seriously, by showing up when they say they will, by promoting their shows, and by treating bands and venues with respect. And, of course, they love to have a good time- and often tell jokes on stage and interact with fans off stage.
CICERO likes to stay busy, and averages 4-6 shows a month and several small tours a year, and is constantly recording and writing new material.
