Meinem Profil hinzufügen | Mehr VideosThe 667 History 667 was established in 1994 originally comprised with the mission of spray art. After a Wu Tang concert in Münster Germany Ol Dirty Bastard looked in the blackbock of one of the members ( True and Body ) and asked "what does 667 mean?" one more than the Devil or something, which is how we got the title which is now used by so many in Germany but not affiliated with us the originators of the term. After using "667" as a tag Body and a crew mate decided to form a Hip-Hop company not limited to just writers. The crew mate was Sil. The year was 1997. There were jams and other events within so much energy and talent from the area that the crew was from, but the crew felt, it needed more unity in the area. So then started doing and releasing mixtapes and the first vinyl release which was the first in Bielefeld area (after the legendary N-Factor in the late eighties and early nineties). The record was "Rapclassics b/w Writers Anthem"- which was the official start of the label. This was 1999. With the first release came adversity, the ethics of some members led to adivision. This actually helped shape a stronger foundation for the future of 667 "one more than the Devil". Around this time there were inspiration and influence from the Berlin based magazine creators of Hard 2 Burn. We began to collaborate and work as a force with one common goal. This was not easy as we had bare resources. However, this identified and stregthen our characters. We travelled on a shoe string budget meeting people and collecting material for future projects such as the first video and other issues of the magazine. We often had no money for food and no place to sleep. Travelling abroad motivated and "salitified" what we were doing, as we recieved great feedback and support from outside our German base. Back in our German base, we met several persons from America and abroad. One of these people was -Bukue one who also was an aerosoul painter as well an emcee, at the time, the first Hard 2 Burn video was in the works. We were finding ourselves in positions that made more sense, for actualising an international perspective. We had already had a single from Bukue. We gave him material. A year later we began on the Hard 2 Burn Soundtrack. There were so many scattered pieces to the puzzle, but we found that everything was coming to gether better then if we had planned it. We contacted the highly respected crew Zombi Squad- whom we had many interactions with througout the years although we had never formally met. We also contacted Phekt from Lords crew Austria whom had hooked us up with Renos. Renos did the tag one more than the Devil that you see on our products. We painted with Phekt and other Lords crew members (Shue. Fader, Shed, Renos and Defie) so it was natural to work with him on the Soundtrack as well. We went on holiday to Sweden where we connected with Bas-1. A friend of Bukue..s and asked him would he be involved. He came back to Germany with us. It..s been roughly a decade. High points and low points a lot of struggle. But here we still are 667 "one more than the Devil"!. - ....to be continued !!
