Nobody ever reads this stuff but for those of you who are interested here's a little about my background. My Names Callum Lindsay (but you already knew that). I've always loved music in it's many forms but House music has been the constant music genre in my life, I guess being born in the seventies ment that i heard a lot of disco growing up, I loved it's electronic sound & when I first heard (Jack Your Body in '85 ) i was hooked on house, It was kind of a natural progression really). Previous to that I'd listened to early Electro which later became Hip-Hop but i lost my interest after it went all Gangsta & "westside" but i still love all the early stuff pre (2pac & biggie) who ever they are........ or were.Over the years House has taken many forms from it's beginning in Chicago to the edgy Detroit Garage sound, then came Acid, Latin House , Balearic House, Soulful House, Deep House & I've been influenced by it all. Call it what you want but to quote Carl Cox " HOUSE IS A FEELING, if you can't feel it, it' can't be house".I've promoted a few nights in Leicester , mainly SOULISM & MASHED and in May 2005 I decided to build a small studio in my home mainly using the REASON platform & I've been producing a few tunes and re- edits & placing them on myspace ever since both on this page and also under the my Project name of uba-groova* (link below) www.myspace.com/ubagroova .Music is a release for me, I work in the fashion industry 9-5 & music is my saviour, it really does help me relax after a day’s hard work. I also love playing around with photography and with graphics and effects too.I guess this page is first & foremost a creative space for me, an amalgamation of everything I like and a place for my mates to listen & see what I’ve been up to, (if they can be arsed) & maybe I’ll make a few new friends and contacts along the way.The guys listed in this section are responsible for producing the soundtrack to my life, (THEY HAVE GOT A LOT TO ANSWER FOR !!!).
