About Me

Hey guys, David here, but you may know me as D. William Hughes, David Hughes, David William Hughes, or just plain D. God is good all the time, all the time God is good; and let me tell you, this has been a great year! I am an actor, singer, "move-weller". My goals are to stay employed and always to be good or be good at it!
I am from New York City, Brooklyn to be exact. I attended East Orange High School in East Orange, NJ. Then continued my studies at Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. I've been a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. the Deadly Delta Theta Chapter since April 4, 1993. G.O.M.A.B
I received my Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology (double major) from the City University of New York (CUNY), College of Staten Island. I wasn't sure what to do with myself, so I decided to go to law school. I attended the CUNY School of Law at Queens College. For most people practicing law and settling down starts here; however, I am NOT like most people.
I wasn't happy with a future in a law firm. I just couldn't see myself living such a structured, enigmatic lifestyle, so I quit and pursued my real dream. Since that fateful day in 2000, I have performed lead roles in National Tours of Big River, Miss Saigon and The Civil War. I have performed on regional and national stages in Ragtime, Five Guys Named Moe, Dreamgirls, Ain't Misbehavin'and Children of Eden, to name a few. I am currently a member of the 2007 Metropolitan NY USO Troupe--what a great organization.
I am so grateful for the numerous opportunities and blessing bestowed unto me; and I look toward the future with bright aspirations--Blue Sky, White Moon and the World is Mine!!
