Friends are really important to me. I am fiercely loyal and friends are like family.
I like to go out a lot...to see friends, do a crossword puzzle (no, dont ask to help), read, brainstorm, or just people watch. I'm painfully shy around strangers. It's often mistaken for being stand off-ish or aloof. Then again, I do have trust issues!
I love my rut, but wouldn't mind shaking it up a bit....that is, if you are up for the challenge of getting me out of my routine!
I love to cook...I just wish it wasnt so difficult to cook for one. But, that's what friends are for...to feed...or test drive new recipes! and baking...everyone seems to LOVE my chocolate-raspberry cake!
I love classic cars and learning to fix them. I used to have a '59 T-Bird named Trixie. She was hot but a bit too high maintenance, unlike me! There is a correlation of women and cars, but too much to get into here.
I also like taking photos of bands. They're a bit too artistic to do anything with as far as promos, but I like the balance of cropping with cool lighting(The Gig had an amazing light rig)!
I LOVE HOCKEY!
And I' getting into basketball!
Cool, down-to-earth, honest people with minimal issues. Toxic people need not apply. I do not tolerate liars, cheats, or thieves. I want to meet anyone that can make me laugh! I'd like to meet Craig Ferguson. That guy is definitely laugh-out-loud funny!!! I've met Dwight Yoakum and he was pretty cool...signed my hat! I'd like to have drinks with Jack Rafferty...he seems like he'd be a good drinking partner. But I'd REALLY like to meet the guy that can get rid of the crick to the left of my tailbone.
UPDATE: Dita Von Teese...she can teach me a trick or two...
Just about anything! But I can only take small doses of Hip Hop, Rave, Techno, and Metal.
I have over 1500 songs on my iPod starting from "...Trail of the Dead" to Yeah Yeah Yeahs, with a LOT of country in between! And not that Nashville Pop crap...but rather, the Western/Honky Tonk/Hill Billy kind! Lots of Hank III, Dwight Yoakam, and Junior Brown. I also have a ton of '60's Lounge too. The Ultralounge collection is amazing!
I like movies with twists...I dont want to be able to figure out the ending in the first half. I love Pink Panther, Agatha Christie, Hitchcock...are you sensing a theme yet? Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, After Hours, Monty Python, LA Stories. I also like movies that will make me laugh out loud.
All the CSI's and Law & Order's. Criminal Minds, Supernatural, Lost, The Unit, Cold Case, Medium, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Last Comic Standing. I also like the old shows like Benny Hill and Laugh In.
Murder mysteries, psycho-thrillers, forensic psychology...those tend to weed out the random drunk-o's away from me when I'm reading at a bar. (yes, I read at a bar...not everyone goes to pick up, get over it!) The last books I read were Answered Prayers by Truman Capote and Memoirs Of A Geisha, and The Secret. My all time favorites are The Art of War and Shambhala: The Sacred Path of The Warrior.
My parents for surviving a couple wars growing up and all the obstacles of making dreams come true in a new country. They are my biggest supporters. My brother for his pioneering research on spinal cord and nerve rejuvenation.
...and Satan...gotta know evil in order to understand and appreciate good! Let's throw Dita Von Teese in this category also...she's just stunning!
