Progressive rock band from Venezuela, formed in 2001 in the city of Maracaibo, the first couple of years were very hard for them becuause they struggled to find a decent vocalist, however they rehearsed non-stop and played a few succesful gigs as a instrumental band until the year 2003 when they finally found the perfect voice for them and so they started performing in festivals and concerts sharing the stage with some of the most important venezuelan metal bands, in 2004 artex finally entered the studio to record a 2 song Ep called "Hysteria" wich was recieved very well by fans and critics alike. In 2006 Artex returns to the studio to record their first full lenght album wich will be ready for a mid-2007 release, there are also plans to tour the country in support of the yet untitled album sometime this year.. stay tuned!
