EVERFEST

Founded fairly recently, in December of 2002, EVERFEST hails from Frankfurt, Germany.
The Band plays Classic Heavy Metal with some Power Metal and Progressive Metal influences. The line-up consists of vocalist ANDY SOMMER, HOLGER WENCK and RENE RITZMANN play the guitars; THORSTEN BAUS thumps the bass, and FLORIAN MOELLER, who pounds the drums.
In February 2004 EVERFEST recorded four tracks with producer MARC BUGNARD (ex-ROKO), which, upon their subsequent release as an extended play disc, received quite some critical acclaim. Thanks to that demo, METAL HAMMER (Germany) and the WACKEN team chose EVERFEST to perform at that years prestigious WACKEN OPEN AIR FESTIVAL. In June of 2004 the Italian Magazine DEFENDERS OF STEEL furthermore voted the disc Demo of the Month, while in November of that same year EVERFEST took second place at the GERMAN ROCK MUSIC AWARDS in Hamburg, in the category Hard & Heavy.
Various web sites, among which notably POWERMETAL.de, also elected to bestow accolades and praise upon the humble demo.
Encouraged by the critical success of their first recordings, EVERFEST resolutely started recording their debut album, RISING, early 2005.
They were further encouraged when, in April of that same year, ROCK HARD (Germany) also nominated their original 4 tracks, Demo of the Month.
