When asked how she can call two cities 'home', Ms. RAW does not hesitate to say: "D'Ionna Willis was born and raised in Boston, but ShellBe RAW was birthed and groomed in Baltimore; therefore both cities are my 'home.'" Representing two cities gives ShellBe the opportunity to explore and provide different perspectives, styles, and terminology in her music.
Known for both her "RAW" lyrics and style of delivery and a sexy, yet classy demeanor; ShellBe provides a unique balance that is missing from Hip Hop right now. She is a beautiful complexity: Pretty but Gritty, Sexy but RAW, and Classy but Hood.
In the span of a year, ShellBe RAW has done what often takes many years--establish her name in the Hip Hop world. Through numerous guest spots on various mixtapes, albums, and DVD's, as well as shows in Baltimore, Boston, and everywhere in between, Ms."Pretty but I'm Gritty" has proven that, indeed, a lot of people really do like it RAW!
