I'm Pinky Tuscadero

About Me

I claim New Jersey as home, but I have also lived in Texas, California, Indiana, Missouri, Amsterdam, Pennsylvania, and Florida and now back to Missouri. I've been everywhere, Man. You know the routine. Well, not everywhere, but I'm working on that. I've spent the last ten years occupying my time with the study of Anthropology, which has led me to some exciting career opportunities including: museum tour guide, zookeeper, archaeologist, grants specialist, GIS tech, short order cook, cell phone salesman, pizzamaker, waiter, newspaper delivery girl, and the endless string of secretarial and clerical positions that I have had to endure. Never had a job dressed up as a hot dog or anything like that, but, I guess I'd probably do that too. Whatever pays the bills, man.I love animals (that's right - humans too!), science, nature, music of all kinds, music festivals, anything brewed with hops and barley, and fermented beverages of any kind. I have a loud nerd laugh and I lose my voice often. I like to think that I am a smooth conversationalist and a professional, demure, mature grown up - but, I am not. I am boisterous and real and approach life with wreckless abandon. Works for me . . . most days.

My Interests

smiling, the woods, animals and animal behavior, horse noses, nerd laughs, bullfrogs, spooning, dreams, cypress swamps, Burning Man, the sound of leaves beneath my feet, living simply, hugs, freaks, crisp clean linens, sculpture, roadtrips, Weimaraners, kitty kats, making other people feel good, subculture, nature, music, dancing, anthropology, cool old cars (especially the ones with the horns that go "aaaaaawwwooooooooga"), African history, camping, nooners, climbing trees, canoeing, gourmet cooking, Simpsons, causing a ruckus.

Just one of the reasons why I like the Burning Man

I'd like to meet:

People who know how to finish what they've started. Honest, reliable mother fuckers. People who won't let me down. People who say what they mean and mean what they say. People who know about car repairs. Fellow Dog enthusiasts. People with a healthy (and or raunchy) sense of humor. 3-D Homer. Single, fine lookin' veterinarians. People who can make my dream of living in Amsterdam a reality.Oh. and no. I don't want to buy your shit and if you would like for me to add you as a friend, please email me as well.

Music:

I fit in anywhere from Opera hall to Hillbilly Hoedown. I love Jazz. Louis Armstrong makes me grin from ear to ear. I also love Ella Fitzgerald, Jellyroll, Wynton Marsalis, Ella, Koko Taylor, Joshua Redman, Django Reinhardt to name a few. I have a mad crush on Karl Denson. He has the grooviest smile I've ever seen. I love ethnic music of all kinds, particularly African music, classic rock too, indie, electronic, opera, classical, old country, bluegrass, funk and weird instruments like Glockenspiels, Gongs and theremins, people who play everyday items like saws and washboards, dance around, slap their knees, hoot and holler. I like it all. Now start playin'.

Movies:

I love dramas and foreign films like: Life is Beautiful, Amelie, October Sky, The Station Agent, Children of Heaven. Just watched Baraka, have you seen that movie, it's absolutely beautiful. I've also been into this Iranian director named Majid Majidi lately. Motorcycle diaries. Mmmm. Loved that movie. I like psychological thrillers, documentaries of all kinds, most work by Woody Allen, Hitchcock, and cartoons. If it's in black and white and in a foreign language, even better.

Television:

OK, I had to update this. I want to be Anthony Bourdain's loveslave. I'm a sucker for Seinfeld, shows about science or animals like Nova or Wild Kingdom. I like dry Brit wit like Keeping up Appearances or Fawlty Towers. Love the Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad. I loved Six Feet under, I cried when it was over. Former shows I've been really into were I Love Lucy (that shit still cracks me up), The Twilight Zone, Little Rascals, and Little House on the Prairie. I know, I'm a nerd. But, I'll be honest, I don't really watch that much of the tube. Short attention span perhaps.

Books:

Uncle Tom's Cabin (Harriet Beecher Stowe), I write what I like(Steve Biko), The Good Earth (Pearl S. Buck), and many more

Heroes:

Dad. Definitely. He was my world. And Mom, because she survived it all.
