It taps into something that is greater than me, and allows me to go along for the ride. Sometimes I feel lucky just to be a vehicle for it.Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Bobby Darin, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, U2, Kris Kristofferson, Bettie Serveert, Patty Griffin, Gillian Welch & Emmylou Harris are heros. Perform solo with acoustic guitar and harmonica or sometimes with a full band. Also play drums, piano, and some bass.Since 2004, I've visited over twenty states, playing cafe's, bars, clubs, halls, colleges, festivals, lodges, and anywhere in between. Upon moving to Nashville in 2005, began sitting in at the legendary "Tootsie's," "Legend's Corner," and "Rippy's on Broadway, got a weekly gig at "The Hard Rock Cafe" throughout the summer of 2005. Performed at "The Bluebird Cafe'," "Caffeine," "Dan McGuiness Pub," "The Muse," "The French Quarter Cafe,'" "The Factory," "The Basement," "The Flying Horse," and other writer venues at "Cocktails," "The Commodore Lounge" and "Coco Cafe'."In 2005, recorded "Under the Memphis Sun" at Sun Studio, Memphis featuring some Rockabilly, three originals, and a remake of Bruce Springsteen's "Fire," written for Elvis. "Rockabilly Magazine" gave it a five-star review. Some tracks recorded in Nashville, with Elvis' original drummer, DJ Fontana, and Country Music Hall of Fame members, The Jordanaires vocal group. This experience will always be the pinnacle of my life. Proud to be part of Elvis Week in Memphis the last two years.
