Bonez; one of the most defiant names in Canadian Hip-Hop. A lot of people will admit that his success has come from getting into the scene at such an early age.He first got into Canadian Hip-Hop at the age of 13 when he started chopping CDs for Aristo and DJ Ritz. He gives props to the DJs and ex-hosts over at Project Bounce for first getting him into real hip-hop. On a random day, he was scanning through stations at night looking for hip-hop and he stopped at 89.5 where he heard Trixx’s segment, “Guilty or Not Guiltyâ€. From there on, he tuned in and was familiarized with names such as C4, Califate, Daetona, Aristo and many more.Then one day he was looking for the “100 Strong Arm Niggas†link and Aristo got at him. From then on he got more and more into bumping and supporting Can Con. From that one contact, he networked and branched off to many more and got his hands dirty with promoting and spreading Can Con. He was on his hustle 24/7, at school, at home on the computer, and on the phone telling people to check out so-and-so’s new single. After that, he registered on a few hip-hop sites, built a name and buzz for himself and took over with the Canadian Hip-Hop Library Soundclick Page; which to this day premiers the newest bangers and exclusives from a wide variety of artists. Since then, people were getting at him on how to be apart of the movement and then he also continued to chop CDs and stay on his grind. He also started the Free Beats movement for the less fortunate artists. They could hit up the Soundclick page and download some beats to spit on. At the current moment, there’s approximately 50 beats. Bonez contributes by adding his self-made beats every now and then. Also, whatever Can Con instrumentals he can get his hands on, he throws them up there. The main attraction though has been DJ Crazy Bazzaro who has laced Bonez up with 29 dope, fresh beats.At the current moment, Bonez is getting ready to release his mixtape Global Domination which should be out by May 2007 and premiers a heavy name on there, Heltah Skeltah. Bonez has an exclusive joint from them and Minus P who, alongside Elohim Marino, are holding it down for the US on the mixtape. As well, there’s tonnes more exclusives and videos; all for $5. He’s also getting into online radio as that’ll help the name grow to a new and larger audience. He’s making another big move which is getting into music videos. Cameo appearances here and there will have people wondering, “Who is Bonez?†That and the name plus the movements will have you pondering about him.
