in around the year 2000, a guy named thom and a guy named d.d. had a band called general mayhem. unhappy with the people they played with the decided to search for other people to get drunk with and maybe write some songs. in came bobby to play drums. john was soon asked if he would learn how to play guitar to help fill out the sound. so they started writing songs and looking for a bass player. over the next bunch of years and a lot of beer they kept playing and writing songs. thom did the yelling, d.d. played lead guitar, john figured out how to play guitar, and bobby kept playing drums. a permanent bass player was never found, but a lot of people tried since the band was so awesome. finally in 2004 or so, thom left the band to start a family. the band kept playing with john taking over vocals. a bunch more shows were played, some new songs were written, and more bass players came and went. finally in 2005, d.d. announced that he and his wife would soon be having a baby and that he too would be leaving the band. john and bobby (as the only two original members left) decided that continuing the band at that point would just cut into their drinking time and so the band called it quits.cut to the present when long time friends and kick ass band the richless decided to do a reunion show. the asked iron balls to get together for one last show to help send them off, and the boys agreed. so this summer john, d.d., and bobby will be regrouping for one last blast with the richless.cheers, john mcginty
