Well, fuck me gently with a chainsaw. Do I look like Mother Theresa?

About Me

artist: natty dot org
photographer: flickr
avid reader: Currently reading Love in the Time of Cholera
Jeerleader: Go Gotham Girls!
I am a constant dichotomy -- the punk rock girl with blue hair who was also a cheerleader for 7 years. I am a spaz. I played keyboards in a heavy metal band for over ten years, but I also frequent the opera. I am a karaoke junkie. I love to make people happy even if it requires me to make a total ass of myself to get a smile. If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I'd want to be in Coney Island. I take pleasure in simple things like the sound of crunchy fall leaves or the smell of the ocean. I feel bad if I kill a bug. I have an advanced open water SCUBA certification and have even been on a shark dive. For not being much of an athlete, I can also ski black diamond mountains and was on the boy's baseball team when I was in middle school. I've traveled to 15 foreign countries. I am an avid sci-fi / fantasy nerd. I can't pass by a quarter machine without stopping to see what the prize is and I love the magic of photobooths.

My Interests

karaoke, coney island, quarter machines, photobooths, carnivals, freak shows, boardwalks, the ocean, bright lights and sparkly things, black and white movies and photography, saturated color, getting lost, shockheaded peter, sci-fi / fantasy, heavy metal, alice in wonderland, parades, costumes, mermaids, skeeball, unicorns, harry potter, historical pirates (jack rackham), halloween, donut luncheonette, tattoos, spontaneous dancing, dancing in strange places, graffiti, contemporary art, outsider art, road trips, skiing, sleep paralysis, weird dreams, dog parks, animals in costumes, graphic design, illustration, fishnets, accordians, video games, bubble tea, lychees, documentaries, drag queens, wigs, collecting pez dispensers, gin, scotch, simple pleasures, talking to strangers, kitties and puppies, rummage sales and all things retro or kitsch, walking the brooklyn bridge, red velvet curtains...
