None but ourselves, can free our minds...

About Me

Hello! I'm Kendrick, another relic of the misguided Rave generation who finally realized that peace, love, unity, and respect are all well and good, but that kind of lifestyle doesn't keep food on the table. To get the physical attributes out of the way, I am 6'6" 215 lbs, with a slim, muscular build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. I have 4 tattoos in total, a tribal on my left arm, Irish and German flags on my right leg, and chinese symbols meaning fun and fortune on my forearms. I might get one more on my chest but then I am done I think. Anyways, I have my own apartment with a roomate, I go to school at night and work construction and demolition by day. I recently started my own company with two of my best friends to throw legit parties in NYC. I am more about throwing the club parties than going to them like the old days, but I still go to a club once in a while and am definitely still all about dancing, house parties, bars, and chill times with friends.

My Interests

Bars, parties, clubs(once in a while), dancing, NYC, movies, music(mostly listening, I play bass but I suck), philosophy, outdoor activities(walking, hiking, rock climbing, unorganized sports, the beach, anything in nature), lifting, martial arts, drinking, sex, general debauchery...

I'd like to meet:

Cool, chilled out people from the area who are down for a good party, especially if you live in or like going to NYC. Cute, intelligent girls are always nice, but I am more than happy to talk to anyone whose got something to say.

Music:

Too much to list, but here's a brief overview...Classic Rock: The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, The Kinks, Deep Purple... I could go on forever.Reggae: Toots and the Maytals, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Fugees, Sublime, Eek-a-Mouse, etc.Rap: Notorious BIG, Cypress Hill, Wu-tang Clan, Jedi Mind Tricks, J-Live, House of Pain, Beastie Boys, Nas, etc.Funk/Soul: James Brown, George Clinton and P-Funk, Funky Meters, Kool and the Gang, Brothers Johnson, etc.Electronic/downtempo/Drum&Bass: ShyFX & MC Skibadee, Air, DJ Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Infected Mushroom, Aphrodite, I Monster, FC Kahuna, the list goes on...I have very eclectic musical tastes even outside of this list, these are just the genres in which I can name a number of artists I like.

Movies:

Again, I could sit here typing all day and not get all my favorites, but here's a few that come to mind..... Lock Stock and two smoking Barrels, Fight Club, Snatch, Bringing out the Dead, Memento, Donnie Darko, Ong Bak, The Professional, Commando, Trading Places, Club Paradise, Dazed and Confused...... For anyone who hasn't seen those new BMW short vignette movies they released online as a new form of advertisement, I sincerely suggest you check them out, they're like everything cool you find in an action movie crammed into 10 minutes, and with sick BMW chase sequences, and awesome cameos by the likes of James Brown, Gary Oldman, Don Cheadle, Madonna, etc.

Television:

I don't have cable anymore as a matter of choice. I belief TV, in too large a dosage, steals your ambition for doing other things that are much more productive. I still have a TV for watching videos when I have the free time, but having cable is just too tempting. When I did have TV the only things worth watching were HBO, Family Guy, The Daily Show, The Simpsons, and the occasional intelligent program mixed in with all the garbage on the airwaves.

Books:

The Art of Dreaming by Carlos Castaneda; Rule by Secrecy by Jim Marrs; Crossfire: the plot that killed Kennedy by Jim Marrs; Cosmic Trigger by Robert Anton Wilson; 1984 by George Orwell; Brave New World by Aldous Huxley; Animal Farm by George Orwell; and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury... all books very useful for mind expansion. The next books on my list to read are: War on Freedom by Jim Marrs; Illuminatus by Robert Anton Wilson; Book of Lies by Aleister Crowley; Journey to Ixtland by Carlos Castaneda; 'Change your Brain' and 'Your Brain is God' both by Timothy Leary; and 'The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell' by Aldous Huxley. Now you see why I don't have time for TV anymore...

Heroes:

Bob Marley, Timothy Leary, Thomas Jefferson, Robert Anton Wilson.
