You'll have to talk me through one before you die.

About Me

My name is Kris, or you might run into me as my alter-ego Bebe Jeebies. I don't lead an extraordinary life. I don't have super powers or some secret second identity. Sometimes I wish I did, but I don't. I'm not even sure it's actually possible. Besides, I don't live near any phonebooths. How would I change into my snazzy Supa-Mom outfit? My favorite color is green. The darker shades. I am a gigantic fan of horror flicks, and I have a special place in my heart for anything Rob Zombie related. Unfortunately I still haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up. Sigh. Maybe that's something I should have been thinking of a long time ago. I'd love to write. Whether it's a novel, a screen play, a poem, I don't care. My dream since second grade has been to be published. I've started stories numerous times, but I lack the self-confidence to continue. Someday a fantastic idea will stick inside of my cranium and I'll put it to paper. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the works of others. I have four daughters, and they keep me pretty busy. Three of them are in school, and one is still a toddler and stays at home with me. I've been married for almost 10 years to the most wonderful doofus you could ever meet. He puts up with my crap, and that's enough for me! Not many people will do that unless I hold them against their will, tied in the corner with dental floss. I have a bookshelf filled with books. I've read nearly everything up there, save for my husband's Civil War stuff. Someday I'll probably read all of that as well; it's difficult for me to have a book in the house that I haven't read yet. Most of my books I've read 3-4 times each. I love to cook. My oldest daughter and myself have a condition called Celiac Sprue, and we can't eat wheat, rye, barley or oats. It was a rather traumatic find at first, but once I got the hang of it, cooking became easier and I have fun coming up with new recipes, and tweaking old ones. We live in a small city just north of a large one, and I like that. I like the quiet and near seclusion, but I also can't be too far from a booming metropolis. Call me crazy, but sometimes I just really crave the hussle and bustle of city life. My husband was in the Army for a few years, and in that time we lived in Kentucky, and Texas. I volunteered in many places while he was active duty, and earned myself a few awards, including one presented to me by a Colonel at the Officer's Club during a champagne brunch. I'm strange. I openly admit it. Sometimes I don't think things through, but that's all right. I like to get pierced and tattooed. The stranger the piercing, the better. The smell of tattoo shops makes me grin and get all warm and fuzzy. In High School I had a wide range of friends, but now it's not so much. I tend to spend a large amount of time with my kids, and going out isn't usually an option. I have, however, found a new fascination for Roller Derby, and plan on being a regular face at the bouts, as well as a faithful volunteer. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. I hope you've learned what you wanted to know about me. If not, I'm really surprised you made it through this long string of incessant ramblings.

My Interests

I enjoy spending time with my kids outside of the house, doing various family-based activities. The childrens museum is always a blast, and we love going to apple orchards in the fall to pick our own apples. I love to read and write, and hope to one day spit out my own novel. If that happens, I really don't care if it sells or not; it's a personal goal that I'll meet before I die. There's a place in my heart for poetry of all kinds. I really enjoy Shakespeare (thanks, dad, for making me read it when I was 7), Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Frost, etc. Basically any poetry you can throw at me. My fascination with body art and modification has been renewed, and I'm hoping to go down a long, peaceful, and blissfully painful path turning my body into the work of art it was meant to be. The body is a canvas and should be used to express one's self, whether by piercings, tattoo's, heavy modifications... or just by the clothes and make-up we wear, or how we cut our hair. I enjoy video games. I play SOCOM online and enjoy every minute of it. I also play a few computer-based, multi-player role-playing games. That may make me a nerd, but that's all right. I've made peace with that.

I'd like to meet:

"Why", you ask? "Why" is not the question. How? Now, that is a question worth examining. How could I, being born of such, uh... conventional stock, arrive a leader of the rebellion? An escapist from a conformist world, destined to find happiness only in that which cannot be explained? I brought you here for a reason, but unfortunately you and your sentimental minds are doing me no good! My brain is frozen. Locked! I have to break free from this culture of mechanical reproductions and the thick encrustations dying on the surface!" - Otis B. DriftwoodMy homemade tribute to the Rob Zombie flicks.

Music:

Lords of Acid, Rob Zombie, Pantera, Slipknot, Johnny Cash, Lynard Skynard, Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, Nine Inch Nails, Hall and Oates, James Taylor, Bjork, Tori Amos, Marilyn Manson, Degrade, Violent Femmes, The Dead Milkmen, Ministry, Blondie, The Sex Pistols, James, Eminem, Dead Kennedy's, Ramones, Misfits... like the others, this list will continually grow. I'm picky with music as well, so expect it to grow slowly.

Movies:

I really enjoy so many movies from so many genres; Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rock and Roll High School Forever, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Devils Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, The Breakfast Club,, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Sixteen Candles, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Animal House, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series of flicks, Natural Born Killers, Story of O, Cool Hand Luke, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Four Rooms, From Dusk 'til Dawn, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Rundown, Secretary, My Blue Heaven, the Harry Potter flicks, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sin City, Kill Bill (vol. 1 and vol. 2), Drop Dead Fred, Full Metal Jacket, Titanic, Spaceballs, History of the World Part 1, To Be or Not To Be, Repossessed, Zoolander, M*A*S*H, Clockwork Orange, The Exorcist, The Seprent and the Rainbow, any and all Stephen King novel-based flicks such as Carrie, Firestarter, Misery, Needful Things, Cujo, It, Apt Pupil...This list will constantly grow. New, fantastic flicks are always coming out.

Television:

House, M.D., Ghost Hunters, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Iron Chef (the original!), Roseanne re-runs, Married With Children re-runs, Celebrity Fit Club, The First 48, COPS, Trauma: Life in the ER, The Office, My Name is Earl, Flavor of Love, Three's Company re-runs...I'm picky about what television shows I watch, just like I'm picky about what movies I watch. Anything chronicling real-life blood, guts and gore like trauma or hospital-based shows. Shows protraying real-life law enforcement like COPS or The First 48. Anything with a dark sense of humor like House. And finally, absolutely anything from the late 80's or early 90's such as Married with Children or Roseanne. I'm always finding new shows, but it takes a lot to hold my attention.

Books:

Desperation, Intensity, False Memories, Regulators, Christine, Different Seasons, The Bachman Books, Thinner, Insomnia, Cujo, The Diary of Eleanor Rimbauer, Hannibal, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, The Shining, Misery, The Dead Zone, Needful Things, Strangers, Edgar Allen Poe poetry, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Everything's Eventual, Marauders of Gor, Captive of Gor, Hunters of Gor, Assassins of Gor, Nomads of Gor, Interview with the Vampire... that's all I can think of off-hand. I'm positive there's more, and I'm certain this list will continue to grow. I'm completely addicted to reading.

Heroes:

Stephen King, Rob Zombie, Shakespeare, Edgar Allen Poe, Thomas Harris, Dean Koontz, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, R. Lee Ermey, Sheri Moon Zombie, Sid Haig, Bill Mosley, Ken Foree, Danny Trejo, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Johnny Depp, Trent Reznor, William Forsythe, David Arquette, Matthew McGrory (R.I.P.)... and many more. I enjoy inspired writers, captivating authors, and actors who can play any role given to them, from comedic, to dramatic, to terrifying. Nothing inspires my own creativity more than the creativity of others.
