I'd like to meet:
Look at my intrests, look at the music section, look at the TV section, look at the book section, hell look at my heroes. If you like any of those or something similar and are rather fun to talk to then I may want to meet you.
With that being said, unless you're 100% sure that I know you well enough to recognize me, don't send a friend request unless you send a message too. I mean I don't just walk up to some Joe Schmo on the street and decide he's my friend.
Along the same lines. If you're a band, unless you're gonna go through the trouble of sending me a message introducing your band and saying hey whats up. Don't expect me to accept your friend request. The only exceptions are if I know someone in your band, or you played with a band I know at a show I was at, don't
Music:
Alkaline Trio, Millencolin, Bouncing Souls, Distillers, The Ataris, Bad Religion, NOFX, Andrew WK, No Use For a Name, Squirtgun, Dropkick Murphys, Lit, Mest, Lagwagon, Guttermouth, Five Iron Frenzy, Blink 182, Pennywise, Outkast, All American Rejects, The Living End, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Nerf Herder, Flogging Molly, System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold, THE TEASE, Mad Caddies, Green Day, Sage Francis....yeah I'm a punk rock nerd. So sue me (also I'm aware of the fact that some of those aren't punk)
Movies:
Indiana Jones, Rocky I and II, The Original Star Wars Trilogy (the prequels are ok I guess), Kill Bill 1 (2 is okay, just not as good), Shrek, Jackass, Barbershop, Spiderman, action movies in general
Television:
LOST!!!!!,Heroes, Prison Break, Viva La Bam, Alias, Justice League Unlimited, Attack of the Show, Real World, Kid Nation, K-Ville, and the dark horse candidate The Dog Whisperer
Books:
The Rise and Fall of ECW, Our Band Could Be Your Life, Ruminations (Aaron Karo), Anything by Chuck Klosterman, Star Wars, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, Rainbow Six (my all time airplane ride book), Chonicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, The Bourne Identity
Heroes:
Jesus, but not because I'm some super strong Christian who devoutly practices religion and goes to Church 3 times a day on Sunday and prays every day (which I don't), but because as Mr Brett Gurewitz (from Bad Religion) points out so elquently in the Bad Religion: Live at the Palladium DVD, Jesus was probably the most Progressive liberal EVER in the entire history on the Christian Religion. Not to mention he focused alot on forgiveness and loving your neighbor which I think alot of people in this world (and who currently consider themselves Christian) need....now enough of this theology lesson
After that it would probably be Blink 182 and The Ataris. Cause even though I've only seen the Ataris live once, and never seen Blink 182. They were the first 2 punk bands that I liked and paying attention to who they toured with got me liking many of the bands I do today.
Bad Religon and NOFX: For being my current 2 favorite bands
Atmosphere and Sage Francis: For showing me there CAN be good rap that doesn't revolve about being "gangsta"
George Brett and Bo Jackson: Belive it or not. The Royals at one point were a pretty decent team. And then these 2 guys left.
Geoff Johns: For at one point writing 4 of my favorite comics (Stars and STRIPE, JSA, Hawkman and Teen Titans)
BeBe Jeebies: For being so damn cool. And for helping me choose and christen my derby name. oh and for having no qualms about telling how it is and not to mention having no problem saying not so appropiate words in front of young kids (whats that you say....thats not a good thing, oh well)
The lovely Atomic Bombshell: Anybody who can get kicked out of a bar, get snuck back in through the back door, AND is able to get the bartender fired all in one night, is an A ++ in my book
