About Me

The passion of rhythm started at an early age for Anthony Lamanna. At the age of 9, he received his first drum kit, allowing Anthony to explore his first quartet. Drums would only be the beginning. Soon later he was introduced to a keyboard, then a guitar! By the age of 16, he had already been composing music for 7 years. The same year, a late night incident at one of New York City’s nightclubs, The Tunnel, would take Anthony for a ride in a new direction. It was then he discovered the art of dance music. That summer would change the way he perceived all music. By the end of that summer, fueled by his determination and genuine love for music, he was filling in empty slots all over NYC including the Curfew parties at the Tunnel.
Just after 9-11, Anthony Lamanna moved to Philadelphia, PA to study the Arts. During that time he studied multimedia by day and the Philly nightlife all night. "I remember getting out of class around 9 or 10 and grabbing my records just in time to catch a cab and make the set," he says, "that feeling of moving the room forever enchants me."
After DJing the local Philly scene for a while, Anthony decided to come back to NYC.
Once back home, Anthony Lamanna achieved resident status at the highly acclaimed White Room Loft at the biggest nightclub on the east coast circuit, Club Exit(NYC). Later he would go on to play at the renowned Sound Factory(NYC) and also Webster Hall(NYC).
As his DJ career unfolded, so did his passion of rhythm; production as well as composition would once again intrigue him. He has collaborated with musicians from every genre ranging from jazz, blues, and jam band, to hip hop, R&B, and of course house.
He was asked on behalf of Saks Fifth Avenue and the Salvation Army, to produce and perform a score to their Annual Benefit Fashion Show. Anthony Lamanna has been announced as the "City's DJ" on 103.5fm KTU for his high energy dance parties. He was invited to be the headline DJ at The Hurricane Katrina Relief Party for Rutgers University. Anthony Lamanna also appeared at the DJ Times International Dj Expo in Atlantic City(NJ) he was sponsored by Stanton DJ.
Anthony Lamanna has a monthly residency on WMSC Radio and WSOU Radio, along with parties in some of Manhattans finest. Experiencing his surreal dreamscapes and environmental control is truly breath-taking. Anthony Lamanna's relentless soul driving bass lines and emotion-bending harmonies captivate audiences everywhere he goes.
