About Me

The Norfolk Drawing Group is a figure drawing group that meets every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9:30 pm at The Warehouse, located at 1229 West Olney Road ( right on the corner of Orapax Street), in the same building as Tortilla West (the bar with the funky, yellow painted bricks). The Warehouse exterior is without a sign, so look for the gray building with the yellow door (that fits snuggly between 2 windows)!

It costs $7 to attend for a single session, or $20 for four consecutive weeks. Bring your own easels. We have plenty of chairs. The format varies, but generally we do a few gesture drawings and march up into a series of 20 minute poses. Our models are paid $17.50 an hour.
Every first Tuesday of the month is our "painting day". We have a long, single, 3 hour pose for the painters among us, but people work with whatever medium they choose. It's a casual, social group, which often heads out to a local pub afterwards.Google Map Directions!(Special thanks to CES and DARLENE for giving the group a home for so many years, we'll miss JAFFE.)
