About Me

This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

Hi there! My name is Kari (Fjeld) Andersen!

I have an amazing husband, Collin Andersen, who pursued me 14 years ago the way I always dreamed it would happen. We have a fantastic marriage that we have worked very hard at.

I have 3 terrific kids who are 11, 9 and 7 years old. They are smart, funny and normal kids who have made life worth living!

I was born here in Bozeman, Montana but grew up in a small community in NE Montana... Scobey! I have lots of great memories and friends from there.

My family then moved back to Bozeman for half of my sophomore and all of my junior year. That was fun and I went to many Bobcat games at the college!

Before my senior year in high school, I moved to San Luis Obispo, CA and graduated from HS. I then attended Cal Poly for 5 years where I received my teaching degree.

Right after graduation, I got my first teaching job in a small logging community in the Oregon mountains in Alsea, OR. I taught 5th grade for a year and loved every minute of it. I felt like Christy going up into the mountains to teach school! ha!
But the money wasn't very good so I moved to Gresham, OR and I taught middle school in Troutdale, OR for 12 years and loved it!!

During that time I met my hubby and had three kids all while continuing to teach. Collin was a Youth Pastor at East Hill Church in Gresham, OR with his hero and beloved pastor, Ted Roberts. I got a little burned out and decide to quit.

My husband and I decided that it was time for him to pursue his acting career at a different level!!! OFF to Los Angeles... Canyon Country, to be specific!

He got a job at Galpin Motors and that's where we met the amazing Bert Boeckmann!! He changed and enhanced our lives in so many ways!!!

While in LA, I needed to find something for ME and that is when I decided to start my own internet business. I created
www.MomsMakingMoneyFromHome.com

and knew that I wanted to make money from home and help others do the same!!

I found a product that was safe for the environment but also fun and smells great... Gourmet Scented Candles and Body Products!! I also found a great lady and company that could train me to be successful and rise to the top!!

The company is located in Wilkes-Barre, PA and we travel there each summer to visit the factory and to speak at the National Candle Convention held at the Woodlands Resort.

I am well on my way to the top of the company and received the "Rising Star" award in March 2006 and was awarded the Team Player of the Year for 2006 for the entire company in November's National Convention!

At the Summer Fling 2007, I received the $10KDD Award (my team sales volume was over $10K). I was also a keynote speaker where I shared how you can "Become Another Person with an Extreme Dream Makeover."

Here is a picture of my great friends and team members. We were affectionately referred to as the Montana Babes!

I now live in Bozeman, Montana but am getting ready to move, once again, to Gresham, OR. I am so excited to meet people in that area who want to make a change and start their own candle businesses. The Northwest is wide open with only a handful of distributors. How fun to open up a new territory to experience our great gourmet candles!! Want to join me??

Thanks for reading my story and I look forward to hearing yours!!
