About Me

Anyone who sets himself up as "religious" by talking a good game is self-deceived. This kind of religion is hot air and only hot air. Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world. -James 1:26+27 (The Message)

My Interests

"It is easier to be an excessive fanatic than it is to be consistently faithful, because God causes an amazing humbling of our religious conceit when we are faithful to Him." -Oswald Chambers Excuse the language, I just thought this was a great bit on atheism. Did I mention I don't believe in atheists...Okay, so I hate politics, but this is awesome. I'm starting to Like Huckabee. Huck and Chuck 2008? Perhaps.... Yeah, so here it is. America by Bill Mallonee. I love this guy.

I'd like to meet:

The knowledge of our own poverty is what brings us to the proper place where Jesus Christ accomplishes His work.....The Lord does not give me rules, but He makes His standard very clear. If my relationship to Him is that of love, I will do what He says without hesitation. If I hesitate, it is because I love someone I have placed in competition with Him, namely, myself. -oswald chambers.. width="425" height="350" ..

The Art of Ryan Thomas

Music:

PUnk, Americana, Folk, Bluegrass, 50s rock...With the exception of Elvis, I like it when people write their own songs. Even if the songs suck, it's their song. The idea of hiring somebody to expose their soul so you can sing about it, and then turn it around for a profit makes me want to yack.

This Song is what propelled me to wanting to be a songwriter. Enjoy. And if you don't, bite me. ;) This is a beautiful, painful cover of a beautiful painful song. At the very end of the song Kurt looks away with wide eyes. Some speculate this was when he knew he'd die soon. He died a couple months later. I think that's a bit over dramatic, but I like the song.

Movies:

Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars Trilogies, The Rocky Movies (even Rocky V has it's place), Gattaca, The Die Hards, Transformers, Cool Hand Luke, Braveheart, Most comic book movies except X3(yuck!), Superman movies, Walk the Line, the Departed, Fight Club, Kill Bill 1&2, Boondock Saints, Hooligans, the Goonies, Lords Of Dogtown, Elizabethtown, pretty much any Cameron Crowe, Quentin Tarentino, Richard Donner, or Michael Bay movies.

Television:

I only watch DVDs these days. I do own some seaons of stuff on DVD: Full House, Home Improvement, Saved by the Bell, King of Queens, I like older stuff. The new stuff sucks pretty hard. I love the A-Team. I pity the foo' who don't watch the A-Team! Yeah, so Jesus is awesome and because of that, this skit is awesome. Enjoy. I am a teacher. I love this guy. His name is Taylor Mali. Sorry about the language, but hey, I couldn't agree with him more!

Books:

I love the Beat Writers and poets like Kerouac, Burroughs, etc. I love Neil Gaiman, Frank Perretti, Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Ray Bradbury, Jeph Loeb, Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Stephen King has his worth, Mark Millar, Mike Mignola, Brian Azzarello....Yeah, I read a lot... tons of comic books, but I read a lot... I love the Bible... I love Oswald Chambers... Dan Brown and J.K. Rowling are trash... not enough pages in each book to justify buying as toliet paper..

Heroes:

Jesus Christ. Johnny Cash. My Dad. Superman. Mr. T. Hank Williams. Johnny Ramone. William Wallace. Nate and Steve Saint. Jim and Elizabeth Elliot. Rocky. Jay "Jay boy" Adams. Larry Norman. Jack Kerouac. Anakin "Lord Vader" Skywalker.Your results:

You scored as William Wallace. The great Scottish warrior William Wallace led his people against their English oppressors in a campaign that won independence for Scotland and immortalized him in the hearts of his countrymen. With his warrior's heart, tactician's mind, and poet's soul, Wallace was a brilliant leader. He just wanted to live a simple life on his farm, but he gave it up to help his country in its time of need.
