Or Obituary???? 1985 we started, literally in a corn field in Iowa, stopped performing in 1991 but like the Eagles and Pink Floyd, we still haven't officially gone AWAY!!! We did a Beatles and were too busy with wives/girlfriends, kids, D-I-V-O-R-C-E-S and Jobs to only find time for solo things( see Little One, Wovoka Jr., Planet Corral). But we did tour the states(sort of) and Europe too(sort of), so like a run away dog, we've been around. Lots o' friends too like Agitpop, Thinking Fellers, Yo La Tengo and Poopshovel to name few. Band Members: Original members: Brian Hageman-guitars, voice, tapes, bass, general yelling at everything.(He left in July 1986). Now residing in Oakland. John McNeill- bass, voice, guitars, tapes, setlists, breaking things with his bare hands!, supplier of hardware. Now a Wisconsin resident! Mike Turnis- guitars, voice, tapes( yep we like tapes!), metal percussion things like plows, bass. Was breaking wooden shoes in Holland, now making cheese and beer in Madison. Scott McWilliams- drums, lots of percussion, muffins, coming up with album titles. Whereabouts unknown?After July 1986 - presentday Scott Siegling- guitars, bass, voice, touchy and very feely, photos and generally being a sweet boy. Scott is the lone Genius still in Iowa City. Tom Schipper-drums, screaming, posing when needed and buying tulips, now producing musicals in Maine for Stephen King.And lots of musical help from such celebrities as Paul Neff, Ed Gray, Dawn McCarthy, Albert Garzon, Michael Gerald and Bill Crawford.
Influences: Velvet Underground, Punk, Neil Young, Rolling Stones. Swell Maps, Sun Ra, T. Monk, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker,Art Blakey, ED GRAY!, Artsy Fartsy stuff and so much MORE!!!
