Project formed by Canarian producers and Djs,
Alex Brinken & Mischa Voelzke in 2002 when they met
in Barcelona and decided to join their carreers to produce quality
Minimal and Techno. Since then they have played their
intense live set in various festivals and clubs around Spain;
they collaborated with artists like Kazu Kimura, Devilfish, Thor 54
and Tony Verdi, to name a few. Early in 2005 they decided to create
their own label BCNREC, to show the different sides of the
electronic scene of Barcelona to the world
After a while they created another AKA for more melodic productions
oriented specially to Electro or House, so Phonk 808 was born in 2005
with releases on Manga and Houseworks, Ourvision and an appearance of a track produced together with Pimp Squad, project called Pimphonk, on MTV’s
Barrio 19 series.
