I'm Jay and I hail from Ocoee (Orlando Area). I'm Luxe as hell and so is my crew (check out our myspace on my top list lol!). I'm a VERY strange person, I'm a lot more complex than this bio could ever tell you, and most people probably couldn't handle me or appreciate me for that matter. I rant a lot and it makes me appear to be a loathing person but I'm often at peace with the things that bother me after I've gotten it off my chest. I can come off as an asshole at first but once you get to know me you'll more than likely change your mind. I suppose it depends on how deep you're willing to look.
I'm a musician and music is my life. I listen to a bit of everything and I'm musically eclectic (though my main things are Metal and Industrial). Some people go as far as to call me a musical elitist and I laugh at them. I just know what I like and I feel very strongly about it although what I listen to may not be highly "acclaimed" . I'm currently in a band called Aeon Wraith , and I have a couple side projects of my own. Between all of my projects we range from every aspect of metal to experimental electronic elements (much like Industrial Metal). I love meeting like minded musicians and also people who are very passionate about what they do just to help me understand other music.
I currently attend UCF (University of Central Florida) and have an AA degree in general studies from Valencia CC. I'm completely lost as to which discipline I want to conquer first but I think audio production and digital media will be the most practical and satisfying to me. Alas my declared major is marketing and that is what I'm working toward. For that same reason I know I'll be in school for the rest of my life because there are so many things I want to gain experience in (like Biology, Genetics, Chemistry, Psychology, etc).
I occasionally work at Borders where I am a humble bookseller. I also used to work as a barista there and another coffee shop where I made the best drinks you could find in Orlando =P. I think if I take up bartending I'll be an official mixologist. Who knows what I'll do next, I just want a non-retail job since I've developed a high intolerance to having to "serve" people.
In my spare time, I go to lots of shows/concerts, The Independant Bar (I-Bar), and get togethers so I'm all over Central Florida. When I'm not out and about I'm usually at home tending to some sort of hobby. I have plenty of hobbies so I tend to disappear for days or even months at a time unless you're one of the special few people who get to see me a few times a week *cue evil grin*.
I have an ever increasing will to quest for knowledge (and RUM! I dig the paradox savvy??). When I'm idle I usually read encyclopedias, dictionaries, books, and I also end up researching things at complete random. I suppose all of this could be credited to my curiosity and being naturally inquisitive since before I could remember. I also write a lot whether it's in a journal, poetry, lyrics, or music. I get pretty bad ADD sometimes so I'm always joking about it and I'm pretty nit picky with a lot of things (much like OCD). I'm a very logic based person and I'm always dismantling things until I know how they work and why. I also enjoy building, wiring, and installing things on a regular basis so there's no telling what I'll be up to next (Mecha Badgers bent on world destruction?? Bua haha!). This could also be the reason why I'm a firm agnostic. Yeah, I guess I'm a total geek, deal with it.
