About Me

I'm Henry Kelly. You're playing catch-up.
Back in the 1970s, I was a sexy young man forced into the world of serious journalism by a fear of flying which kept me grounded in Ireland. Luckily I was able to overcome this, and in 1976 moved to London where TV producers decided that my stunning looks and cheeky Irish charms could be hidden from Britain's bored housewives no longer.
I soon became a family favourite for my work on Game For A Laugh, before moving onto Going For Gold in 1987. I continued to lighten the days of students and the unemployed in this way until 1996, and by the time they had tired of me, I was already well established in my award-winning Classic FM morning show. However, things turned sour when I was controversially sent packing and replaced by the evil and substandard Simon Bates.
After a tirade of persecution by the Inland Revenue, and not to mention very many years of campaigning, I am now back where I belong, DJing on Classic FM on the prestigious Sunday morning slot . And don't forget that those of you in the Berkshire area can also catch me on Radio Berkshire, weekdays 10am-1pm. And then in the pub.
