The Bulgarian melodic death/black metal band CLAYMORE is formed in the summer of 1999 in the city of Rouse. The former band members are Kamen Manev (drums, x-VIPER), Martin Manev (guitar, x-VOMITORY) and Velislav Danov (bass, x-VIPER). Some time later in the band comes Tzvetelin Baltov (keyboards, x-IK-1). The line-up is completed with the vocalist Tzvetan Rachev (x-Infanticide). The first CLAYMOREs live takes place in September 1999. After this event the band plays in many cities across the country and in 2000 takes participation in the biggest Bulgarian Underground Music Festival in the city of Bourgas. In 2000 CLAYMORE records their first four track demo. In 2001 comes one demo CD titled Warriors of Claymore which is sent to many radio shows, labels, web zines in Bulgaria and abroad. At the end of 2001 the band takes participation at a festival in Sofia (Bulgaria's capitol) and the reactions are more than positive. Later on, CLAYMORE plays at some other Underground events in Bulgaria :

Remarkable success was our participation -2005 and 2006 -in "Trash till death" festival where we are playing with bands like Destruction,Mystic circle,Napalm death.In the last months of 2002 they start the recording of the actual demo CD Released which has much better sound in comparison with their previous releases. It contains five songs of 5 recorded (until that moment) which are representative for the bands style.At the end of 2006 we are succeed to record our first album - 10 songs recorded in studio Area51,but still not mixed. CLAYMORE plays melodic death/black metal combining aggression and melody in one with influences from other styles like heavy, thrash, grind as well as a good amount of classical music.
