I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm Dan! I make video games, modify cars, rescue damsels in distress, look out for the less fortunate, and pursue all sorts of dorky endeavors. :)

My Interests

Toyotas, sci-fi, video games, and power-relaxing :)

I'd like to meet:

cool people.

Music:

My tastes have become quite eclectic over the years... my current playlist includes: Van Halen, The Eagles, Metallica, DJ Tiesto, Scorpions, Shpongle, Hard-Fi, Nelly, Panic! At The Disco, She Wants Revenge, Oingo Boingo, James Blunt, and The Stray Cats.

Movies:

The Empire Strikes Back is the best movie ever made, period. Aliens, Fight Club, 2001, The Terminator, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are all up there too.

Television:

Battlestar Galactica, 24, The Simpsons, The Sopranos, and Big Love are the best written and highest production value shows on tv. Penn and Teller: Bullshit! is right on the money too. Mythbusters was great, but is losing steam. Smallville is my guilty pleasure ;)

Books:

I admit it... I hardly read anymore these days, unless it's a new Star Wars novel that catches my interest. I'm currently reading The Pleasure of Finding Things Out, a collection of short works by Richard P. Feynman.

Heroes:

Superman is who I identify with the most. I'm Clark Kent to most people, most of the time, but ready to save the world when I have to.On the other hand, Superman's only weakness is kryptonite. Jack Bauer laughs at Superman for having a weakness.

Baby's first car show

Spring Cleaning

The layout change was inevitable, and late.  However, after aquiring a few new toys (a Nikon D80 and the nicest prop replica of the Episode 6 Vader reveal helmet I've yet encountered), this was t...

Home Improvement

Today, I fixed and upgraded my bedroom toilet.  Koji broke the flapper arm last week.  Actually, it broke several years ago, and now my super-glue and c-clamp makeshift repair finally gave u...

Experimental munchies

I like to eat my cereal in a cup.  Lately, the cups of choice are the red plastic 16 ounce Dixies.  I toss the cup when I'm done, and only have to wash the spoon. Tonight I felt like grabbin...

It's been an extra good day today

First, I finished off the last of my assigned tasks at work on Call of Duty 3.  From here on out, it should be totally smooth sailing. Then, the company surprised us with ice cream!  I had m...

Yet another new layout

So, I was watching one of my favorite TV shows (can you guess which one?), and poof... I had this goofy idea for a new layout.  The next step... I keep seeing all these silly posts on CL, in the...

addicted to CL

So yeah, I've got a new online addiction.  I love reading the personals on craigslist.  Especially the "missed connections" forums.  I read them from the forums all over the country.&nb...
