About Me

W E L C O M E T O M Y S I T E :-)
Welcome to my page, I know there are many aspects to my personality but I thought this format would be a fun and educational way to share some of my thoughts. My Articles of Faith:1) I believe in spirituality, communication, and sense of humor.
2) I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and in having true friends.
3) I believe in having self-respect and in treating my body, mind spirit as temple.
4) I believe that you must be willing to take great risks to receive great rewards.
5) I believe that often the greatest risk is ultimately not taking one.
6) I believe that I would rather be in the arena than be a spectator.
7) I believe that life it too short and therefore must be enjoyed to the fullest.
8) I believe in working out at the gym, listening to good music, and reading great books, watching good films and in learning constantly.
9) I believe in being spontaneous.
10) I believe we must enjoy the simple moments or they will pass us by.
11) I believe that if we manage the small decisions the "big" ones will always resolve themselves.
12) I believe that the search for a best friend and companion is the most important decision you can make in this life.
13) I believe that we far too often limit ourselves and the blessings the Lord really truly desires to share with us in life. He can not bless us if we do not allow Him to…we are our own worst critics and sometimes need to give ourselves the benefit and remember that if God can love us unconditionally so should we...

"Believe in Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Redeemer, the Son of God, who came to earth and walked the dusty roads of Palestine-the Son of God-to teach us the way of truth and light and salvation, and who, in one great and glorious act offered an atonement for each of us. He opened the way of salvation and exaltation for each of us, under which we may go forward in the Church and kingdom of God. Be not faithless, but believe in the great and wonderful and marvelous blessings of the Atonement." –Gordon B. Hinckley
"No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway for the human spirit." –Helen Keller

Heroes:

My all-time hero has got to be my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ...He gave everything for us including what He said was the greatest of all. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." --John 15:13 (King James Version)
THE ARTICLES OF FAITH
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541
1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

-- Joseph Smith
