About Me

New York City based DJ Mark Flynn made his reputation in the mid 90's as a master of the wheels of steel, while living in Boston, MA, and weekly host of WZBC's live mix program " Disc Error". The radio show was Boston's premier live mix/ live pa electronica program which featured Mark Flynn and guests, including such luminaries as Evil Eddie Richards, Joel Mull, Christian Smith, The Kooky Scientist and a bevy of Boston's best and brightest dj's and performers. In 1980, Mark began a 22-year stint as a weekly fixture on two of Boston’s most popular community radio stations, MIT affiliated WMBR and Boston College affiliated WZBC. Mark was the weekday sports announcer on the Late Risers Club (1980 –1982) and co-host of the weekly comedy sports call-in program, The Sports Palace (1980 – 1983).An avid record collector Mark found his true calling as one of the weekly host of the Late Risers Club (1982 – 1987) one of the USA’s first program devoted to punk, indie rock and its various manifestations. In 1987 he moved over to WZBC as it’s weeknight programming offered more creative avenues to explore new music in non-rock forms.By 1997 his program, Disc Error, had evolved into a weekly live dj format which, until 2002 featured live mix sets by a vast amount of dj’s from Boston and beyond. Setting up shop in NYC in 2000 ( yes, he drove back to Boston to do his WZBC radio show for over a year ), he's had multiple residences with his good friend Benny Blanco, and is now working solo every Thursday at Naima, an Italian restaurant and lounge in the West Chelsea club/gallery district. He can also be found every Monday and Tuesday spinning & selling cd's at Bergdorf Goodman's inaugural music store, Volume. BergdorfGoodman.com 754 Fifth Ave., New York, NY 10019Keeping on the move, Mark's been a featured dj in Amsterdam, Berlin and Munich. Mark has a new studio space in Tribeca, and will be continuing his experiments in music production.
