I am Randy LeMasters of Pittsburgh, PA; friend and fan of the band Digital Sex.
Digital Sex were at the forefront of the Omaha music scene in the 1980's. They were a band who had it ALL!
--A charismatic lead vocalist with a fantastic voice and a gift for writing personal and memorable lyrics.
--A continually head bobbing bass player who is not only a stellar musician, but a man who possesses talents for melody and original musical thinking that are out of this world.
--A spine Tingling lead guitarist who has the incredible knack for head splitting solos on one track, while using his instrument to touch your heart in ways few other musicians ever have on other songs.
I am a voracious music fan. I can never hear enough music! Music has always been a friend. In fact music is my first memory of life. The works created by Digital Sex have travelled through my ears, heart, and memory more than any music created by any other artist. Digital Sex are a true passion in my life. Their music literally saved me during a particularly difficult period of time. I would drive around in my car for hours listening to their album "Essence" over and over and over again. The music became my friend, comforter, and safety net when I dearly needed it. Don't get me wrong--the music of Digital Sex is for much more than those times when you are feeling low. They've made the good times in my life even better by being there. We played Digital Sex songs at our wedding!
I had the distinct pleasure to become friends with the members of Digital Sex in 1993, and the incredible privilege of being able to release their CD "Essence & Rarities" in 1994 (was it really THAT long ago?!). Many years may have passed, but I am still so very proud of this CD. It's been a wonderful journey to be able to share this music that means so very much to me with people all over the world.
"Essence & Rarities" contains the full, nine track "Essence" album in remastered sound quality. The "rarities" are another ten songs--NINE of which you will not find elsewhere on CD!!!
