Looking for a thinny, because there are other worlds than these.

About Me

Isn't that what all the other boxes are for?

My Interests

Computers, gaming, books, music, movies, and UFC/MMA.

I'd like to meet:

Realistic: People with similiar interests.

Unlikely to impossible (but in no particular order): Gillian Anderson, Uma Thurman, Penn & Teller, Roland Deschain, Robert A. Heinlein, Michael Moorcock, Angus Young, Lazarus Long, Rob Zombie, and Stephen King.

Met: George Romero, Tom Savini, Betty Buckley, Elvira, and Leonard Nimoy.

Music:

I like a lot of different types of music, but not Country or Rap/Hip Hop. My favorite genres are Heavy Metal and Death Metal. However, I can listen to anything in between Classical and Death Metal, with the exceptions listed above. Even though my favorite style of music is pretty heavy, my favorite band is AC/DC.

Movies:

Picking a favorite movie is too hard for me. My taste in movies is as wide ranging as my taste in books and music. My favorites include (in no particular order) Apocalypse Now, Erik the Viking, Once Upon a Time in the West, High Plains Drifter, Full Metal Jacket, All the Dead Movies by Romero, Pulp Fiction, The 7 Samurai, Evil Dead, and Excalibur.

Television:

There have been some great shows that were all cut short, such as Forever Knight, LEXX, American Gothic, The Tick (animated series), The Adventures of Brisco County Jr., and Farscape. None of those series should have been cancelled until their stories were fully told. Then, there are some shows that are very good (still running or not) like The Simpsons, Heroes, Family Guy, all the Star Trek series, Babylon 5, The X-Files (the 1st 3 or 4 seasons), Dark Shadows, Futurama, American Dad, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Heros, and Twin Peaks. Oh, and Bullshit! might be the best show that has ever been produced...Go Penn and Teller!

Books:

The first non-children's book I read was I, Robot when I was 10. I was a Science Fiction fan from then on. Around age 13, I was introduced to Dungeons and Dragons and Fantasy...I got hooked. I started reading Horror around 16 and developed a taste for Stephen King, but not many other Horror writers.

Heroes:

I can't really think of any heroes that I currently look to.

DSL vs Cable

If it weren't for Charter being a shitty provider, I'd stick to cable. DSL definately has it's downside as I don't have the same bandwidth capacity. With cable (when it was working correctly), a 5mb c...
