It's a Boy...and a Girl!
So here is the new ‘new’s. I went to the doctor for my 20 week check-up. They did a growth check on the babies. While they were in there they checked between the legs. It’s a boy and a girl! Michael is a little depressed. (He wanted three boys) The girl meausres a few days smaller than the boy. They will continue to watch her to be sure she is growing on the same curve as the boy. BTW we are thinking Preston and Peyton for names. (Going along with the ‘on’ theme….CarmON, BraxtON, PrestON, PeytON) I had to take the disgusting orange drink to test for gestional diabetes. The very next day the dr’s office called. It seems that I passed the diabetes test but my iron levels were low and my platelet levels are low.Aunt Betty bought two cradles for the babies (Thanks Aunt Betty!) on Thursday and they arrived on Saturday. Braxton and I put one together tonight. He knows it is for a baby….I’m just hoping that he understands those babies are going to be living with us.
I started a new job the last day in May. I LOVE IT!!!
Michael gradutated – finally – and is working for Shamrock communications. He is still playing in Citizen Mundi. You can now purchase their music on iTunes!
Braxton is growing up fast! He just turned 3 and his speech has really improved. He says 5-6 phrase sentences. Even though he is not able to have a conversation, he is able to communicate in a basic way. We are going to ask TPS to change his placement this fall from the autism classroom to the headstart class. He went to the autism camp for 2 weeks this summer. After 2 days we noticed he was grunting at us to get our attention. Michael noticed that not really any of the other kids were speaking and we soon found out that they were mostly non-verbal. Many grunted as their primary form of communication. Our son, the sponge, was just acting like his peers. We hope that by placing him with typically developing kids, he will start to pick up on conversation and social skills.
BRAXTON WENT FISHING FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!
As for SoonerStart – F&@k them! They are totally worthless if your child actually needs help. They are a great source of information related to activities in the community but that’s it. I hope that reform is in the works. The is really a waste of our tax dollars.
