About Me

Hello my name is Mike Drummond, I am 29 years old. I am married and I have one son named Braxton. Currently I am working on a Music Education degree at The University of Tulsa. Yes some day I will be the really cool Band Director. I have studied with Dr. Kent Kidwell (University of Central Oklahoma) Royce Lumpkin (University of North Texas) Vernon Howard (University of Tulsa, and Interlochen Summer Music Camp) Claudio Roditi (Freelance Musician) Chuck Findley (The Tonight Show). I was a member of the cast of Blast! Shockwave. I did 2 years with the group the Martini Kings. Currently I am playing with a World Music Ensemble called Citizen Mundi. My Interests

I am a tech GEEK. So much that my job hired me for my geekiness. I am really into Macintosh computers, Home Theatres come in a close second.

I'd like to meet:

J.J. Johnson, Frank Rosolino, Jack Teagarden, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker....they are all dead... but it would be cool to just have a chat with each one of them.

Music:

I love all kinds of music. Jazz, Classical, Rock, Hip-Hop, Techno, Funk, and Latin to just name a few.I am not much for Metal.

Movies:

I watch many, rarely do I go to the movie theatre. I have an awesome theatre at home that I have been working on for about 8 years of putting it together. Pay Per View and On Demand are our friends.

Television:

The Discovery Channel is where I spend all my normal TV time.
