About Me

Hi! I'm Andy. I'm really boring. That being said, I'm always me... not who you want me to be, or who you don't want to be, but just me. I'm not in this game or this world for popularity (so says the guy with 300 MySpace friends). I don't do things or dress certain ways to impress people. If people are going to like me, they'll like me for that. I have plenty of imperfections, both lookwise and personality-wise, and that's perfectly okay. I don't try to hide my mumbling, or my receding hairline, or my gigantic feet, or my shyness.I'm quiet a lot. I'm a smartass a lot. I'm a really nice guy, and that's NOT a bad thing. If you're my friend - a true friend - I'll do anything within my means to help you. Always have, always will. I believe in karma, and I'm a big fan of having great karma myself. What goes around will, eventually, come around, whether it is the next day or five years down the road. I'm a great listener. I give good advice. I've had the same horrible handwriting since third grade, and my signature has gotten worse and worse as I sign it 500 times a day. I'm skinny, but not because I try to be, but because my metabolism says so. I'm tall. Random middle-aged women ask me to reach things on high shelves for them in stores all the time, and I enjoy helping them. I have on-again, off-again facial hair. The plan is just to always have it off, though I'm lazy and I don't have enough time in the day right now to shave.
I've worked a random string of retail jobs, and I actually like working retail jobs. My dream is to be a kindergarten teacher, but that dream is fading fast. I'm great with kids. I have a great, beautiful fiancee' by the name of Michelle. She's always #1 in my heart and also in my top eight. I graduated from Brunswick High in '99. I was the quiet one that some people like and most people picked on. It's okay. Everybody thought I was gay because I never dated any girls (which was basically just because rejection isn't my friend, and I would've had plenty of it).
I'm a photographer. Even more, I'm a good photographer. I'm also a very good writer. In ten years I'll either be a pro photographer or a published author. Maybe both! Things are slowly in the works for both.
I'm on AIM some rare occasions under the name of andykat1278. Even more rarely I'm on MSN as [email protected].

updated weekly, when last.fm gets around to it

I'd like to meet:

Everybody who has a single ounce of awesomeness. Also, Ricky Bobby, so we can pray together to sweet baby Jesus, who's sittin' in his crib watchin the Baby Einstein videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors.

Music:

A wide range... Dixie Chicks, Dave Matthews Band, Imogen Heap, Feist, U2, The Darkness (though they are no more), The Postal Service, Queen, Jay-Z, Outkast, Garbage, Jack Johnson, Barenaked Ladies, Springsteen, Death Cab, Green Day, Katharine McPhee, Tenacious D, Kelly Clarkson, No Doubt, Yann Tiersen, Tim Reynolds, and Beck, to begin with.

Movies:

Amelie, Ricky Bobby, Eternal Sunshine, Anchorman, Rocky Horror, Napoleon Dynamite (of course), Hedwig, the Harry Potters, Purple Rain, and many more super duper movies.

Television:

Let's see... The Office (NBC version), The Office (BBC version), The Simpsons, House, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, SNL, Robot Chicken, Harvey Birdman, South Park, X-Play, Attack of the Show, and more.

Books:

I don't read as much as I should. Some favorites: The whole Harry Potter series, America: The Book, anything Shel Silverstein, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Running With Scissors, Clinton's autobiography, The Buttress of Windsor, anything Al Franken or Michael Moore. I haven't read Da Vinci Code and don't plan to start now. I'm reading Bill Clinton's 900000 page autobiography now and it is superb.

Heroes:

Stephen Colbert, David Brent, Ralph Wiggum, Brak, and Michael Scott.
