Hawkgirl Shayera Hol
My name is Shayera Hol, but I've been reincarnated into several different lives, living several different names. I'll stick with this one though. No matter how many times I change, my true identity is that of the name Hawkgirl. I come from the planet Thanagar where a metal called the Nth metal exists. It enables its hosts to posses great strength. My mace is made of the source and is a holder of a special kind of magic that can repel spells and other types of magic. With it in some cases, I was able to repel Dr. Fates spells and also send Solomon Grundy back to the grave when kids' magic brought him back. My wings are organic and allow me to fly, of course. Besides the strength and such, I can speak to birds and I can withstand teperature and air pressure. I use my skills to help others in need. Anyway, I am now a member of the Justice League Unlimited. The original Justice League became unstable with the Thanagarian invasion, the lack of trust thereof, and my relationship with John Stewart (Green Lantern). The invasion invovled my ex-fiance as the commander of a Thanagarian force sent to earth to build a last garrison against the Gordanians, whom we spent years at war with. I was sent as a spy to learn about earth but eventually I came to love this place and my job. I betrayed my duty to help the Thanagarians and I believe my planet is now in ruin ~ I suppose helping earth was good then because it could have ended up like Thanagar. Our war had nothing to do with earth's people so I think I did the right thing but I still have a deep respect for my old planet. Well anyway, after our original gang revolutionized and I left, I hung around with Dr. Fate & his wife, seeking stability in my life. Amazo was also there and Aquaman made trips to visit us from time to time. In no way could I return so quickly to the league if I had not found myself, putting past and betryal behind me. In addition, Hawkman, Carter Hall, is trying to rekindle an old relationship but I don't feel anything towards him. I still speak with John who has a new relationship with Vixen. But I'll never forget the bound I shared with him and all the original JL members: Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, J'onn, and Flash.
