Sounds Like:You don't really want to hear me describe my own sound, so here is a review written for East Magazine, based in East SussexAuthor: Glenda Pearce

Location: Bar BlueHe did not disappoint. After sipping a beer and a non-grandiose way of picking up his guitar and well, playing, the evening was complete. His deep throaty voice, talented and precise acoustic guitar and mixture of blues, folk and melancholy rock ensured a mellow and warm milieu. His positioning of standing on display in front of the window may seem uncomfortable but Joel seemed relaxed and complimented the informal, non-pretentious atmosphere that distinguishes Blue from the rest of the Eastbourne bars. His renditions of 'Hallelujah' and a Turin Brakes song were the highlights of the evening for me, as he did not attempt to be overly earnest.8/10
