Young Goodman

Young Goodman is a energetic alternative/rock band with a pop vocal edge, complimented by aggressive technical rhythms from behind the kit and catchy flowing riffs from bass and guitars. Formed in 2006 the band consists of three members: Freddy- drums and backing vocals, Kyle- bass, and C.J.- vocals, rhythm guitar and lead guitar. The musical background started at a very early age for members C.J. and Freddy, with their parents both being teachers of the musical arts. Freddy started playing drums at a young age and throughout high school. He continued his career seeking opportunity with the Marine Corps band and ultimately arrived in Young Goodman. C.J. also a drummer by trade, transitioned to guitar and immediately found a partiality to the instrument. Located in SoCal’s San Diego, Young Goodman spent eight months writing and recording original material for their self titled EP, and has started gigging at local venues like Canes, Soma, Brick by Brick, Monkey love café, and is going to perform more outside of San Diego county; more specifically, Los Angeles, during the summer. The EP contains three songs out of their twelve song set which continues to increase as the project moves in a positive direction. The love for music and the opportunity to perform for as many people as possible drives Young Goodman to become a signed band. The support of fans, friends, and family has taken them this far and can only continue to move them forward.
