About Me

Which Barbie Are You?

Homemaker Barbie
Cooking, cleaning, pleasing your man. Barbie, you're a domestic godess. Don't let those feminists run your life. Your happiest with a baby held firm in one arm and a dust rag in the other hand. You can sew a mean double stitch, and you know the supermarket better than the night shelf-stockers. After the kids grow up, you'll be fat and old barbie, but hey, atleast you get to watch all of the soaps.
Take The Quiz Now! Quizzes by myYearbook.com Funny stuff. Yeah, I'm a stay at home mommy to my precious daughter, Sidnee. I'm also enfianced to Cruz, my gorgeous Mexicano. So...that pretty much adds up to me being a "domestic goddess"!! Mmmkay. Parenting actually offers up a lot of excitement, though, I love it. Although it's turned me into a crazy(er) person...I never realized I could be so in love with anything. As for me, apart from my general momminess, I like shopping, movies, music, fashion, jewelry, spicy food (if I can feel my face when I'm done, I don't like it), imagination, collecting shoes, most things girly as you can see. The list goes on. I'm a sensitive person with a hard shell, but once you penetrate it, there's no escape! I'm incredibly clumsy and drop and break things on a regular basis. I now run a small home daycare business, an infant program. It rocks! I love what I do, and I get to spend all of my time with my spastic spawn. Just to be sure she becomes a strong, eccentric woman just like myself. Errmmm...I've learned to adore certain aspects of the Mexican culture as of late. Though other...certain parts of it...make me want to scream and bang my head on a brick wall.Sparkley. Rad.Myspace Graphics

My Interests

You are Slinky Heels!
You're an uptown, well put together woman
But you're not too uptight to enjoy a hot club
You're always the best dressed chick in the room
And you'll only settle for the best in men What Kind of Shoe Are You? The whole mommy thing is fun. I love to cook, clean obsessively, biting my daughter's various rolls, dancing (oh man, I love to boogie), the internet, the Spanish language, orchids, photography, picking other people's scabs, massage, drinking excessively whenever possible (which is officially never...), driving fast, watching freckles appear on my skin in the sun, hose water, the smell of rain on hot concrete, sleep, all things baby, febreeze, new socks, good beer, good sex, long kisses, music, I go on a lot of long walks here lately. I'm mostly interested in interesting things. Stuff that interests me.

I'd like to meet:

Sir Anthony Hopkins, Beck, I'd love to gaze upon the likes of Johnny Depp and Antonio Bandaras. Just gaze, though, I don't think I'd be able to manage any sort of decipherable speech. Miuccia Prada. I dunno, people I suppose. If they don't irritate me.

Music:

Mostly industrial, Beck, Ween, Bjork, They Might Be Giants, Depeche Mode, The Pixies, System of a Down, Skinny Puppy, Black Sabbath, Kanye West, The Postal Service, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Juanes, Mana, the non-obnoxious Shakira (if there is such a thing), hip-hop (the more obscene, the better), most anything Mike Pattony, anything with a good beat that you can dance to. This list could go on foreva. My brother's band, The Go Faster Stripes. They RAWK! I have a newly found love for salsa and most all of that silly sounding Mexican stuff. I'm trying to learn the dances, a lot of them are so beautiful but require much more grace than what I possess. I wouldn't be able to live without music. It makes me happy.

Movies:

SEE "AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH"!!! It is such an important film, especially if you have children to think about. Crash. Anything with Johnny Depp or Kevin Spacey, American Beauty, The Big Lebowski, Adaptation, Being Jon Malkovitch, anything written by Charlie Kaufman, Garden State, Amelie, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fight Club, Amores Perros, Back to the Future, The Matrix, The Notebook, oh man was that movie cute! Shrek and all those fun, bubbly, computer animated movies....etc. etc. I consider myself somewhat of a movie buff. At least I used to be

Television:

Family Guy, bad reality TV, I love American Idol, though I usually feel dirty after watching it. Novelas (Spanish soap operas--they are hilarious!) especially "La Fea Mas Bella (funny stuff), Desperate Housewives, Scrubs, I'm addicted to Dr. Phil. I love how he powders his head so it doesn't shine in the stage lights. His teeth are so white. I used to love Sex and the City and Six Feet Under and all of those fun HBO shows. I really don't watch a lot of tv these days.

Books:

I'm forever immersed in the Harry Potter books. Hunter S. Thompson of course, Lewis Carrol, a little bit of Dean Koontz. I recently re-read On The Beach by Nevil Shute on a whim. It is reeealy depressing and gave me bad dreams. Nothing like world-wide nuclear fallout and mass suicide to put one to sleep... Other than that, Eric Carle, Dr. Seuss, Margaret Wise Brown, Shel Silverstein, all of the greats!...
