I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

The girl behind the myspace is Evelyne, born in Belgium on the 15th April 1986, a cloudy Tuesday. That means I’m 22, which I'm pretty pleased about because I never quite liked the number 21 anyway. And now that you know my birthdate, I shall quote my good friend Daniëlle, who once said, ever so eloquently, Roses are to be sent to my home address. Chocolate and jewellery are to be labelled Att: [Evelyne], Private and Confidential. Ps: I also like pearls.
I love many things (see: interests), and many people. I am a dreamer and a bookworm; I'm creative, kind, funny (I amuse myself anyway), but not at all adventurous. I have a shameful sense of direction and I never quite figured out how to read a map - that's what a GPS is for, right? Only people that don't know me at all would describe me as 'quiet'. I’m idealistic, opinionated and critical, but a peacemaker of sorts. One part diplomatic, one part blunt and direct. I do not smoke. I drink socially - and even that's pretty dangerous. I love planning and making lists. Eu amo a língua Portuguesa. I'm a sucker for tulips. I love pizza, pasta and fetta cheese, but detest sea fruit and mushrooms. I love sunshine and I secretly love rain, although I'll complain about it whenever it shows up. I especially love snow. If I love you, I'll tell you often, and I pray for you even more. I'm guilty of singing loud and out of key in the car. I don't open up to you and confess all my woes because there's more to life than other people's pasts. I have a strong aversion against homophobia and hypocrisy. I know what I want and I know how to get it. Mostly, I believe in Robert Frost, Paulo Coelho and melody, hearts and minds.
I'm hoping to find life-long friends here which probably sounds odd to say in a place like this, especially since so few people bother investing in others or finding inspiration or love, but quite frankly I don't care.
God bless.

And if I were a bird I'd be an owl
Wise beyond my years
Watch over you each night, calm you of your fears
You could set my head to spinnin'
With those little things you do
Like sayin' it was me you loved
When I asked you
