YOU CAN'T GET FRESHER THAN THIS

About Me

"I'm a space cadet with a tape and a cassette, player, I'm faster than prayer, I'm passing the ozone layer, meditating and I'm there..." - Killah Priest: Heavy MentalMy name is Martin / Cadnr / Dr. Cordiner / DJ Wildstylus / MC Fly / The Wicked Witch of the Wax / Caddis Fly / Martin Corduroy / Corinthian / Corinder / Collinder / Coriander / Tinno / Codnr (from Bognor) / Candada. I am a Baadass Hip-Hop Astrochemist, an unusual combination, but I have to do something to take my mind off all the trouble in the streets - looking upwards is an excellent form of escapism. The universe gives me an infinite source of fascination, and the Earth planet ranks high up on my list of interesting astronomical objects.
Pause for thought for the day Current info.... (last updated December 16th 2006) Whereabouts: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Professional affiliation: Astronomy Research Centre, Queen's University, Belfast

Activities: Making music with my turntables, doing astrochemical calculations of circumstellar and interstellar environments, writing papers about the interstellar medium, exploring Belfast looking for friends

Chunes I am seriously feeling right now: Glue - Vessel (Catch as catch can LP) The Album Leaf - The Outer Banks (A Safe Place LP) Pitman - A Great Day (Pit Closure LP) Surprising wild Animals I saw in South Africa last summer: African Penguin (cute and waddly); Cape Fur Seal (good at swimming and smell like dog); Bontebock (cool white face mask and socks); Ostrich (like a walking bush with a head); Rock Dassie (strangely non-elephantine); Cape Baboon (cheeky and FAST); Springbok (travels in herds); Tortoise (surprisingly difficult to photograph); snakes; elephants (BIG!); Giraffes; Lions (roar); Warthogs; Impala; Kudu (tasty); Bushbuck; Waterbuck; Wildebeast; Vervet monkey (even cheekier than baboons!); Secretary bird (strong feet); Fish Eagle; Black Eagle; Jackal buzzard; Vulture; Hippopotamus (cute but deadly); Zebra; Weaver bird; Southern Right Whale; Dolphin

Exploring Northern Ireland: Behold the River Lagan, South of Belfast that I did cycle past one wintry day
