So, Can you feel the off-beat go? Well it's been a while since i last wrote something on this page! But i though, it's time to let you all know what we've been up to. As i told you before, we joined forces with the booking agency "Devil May Care". Phil, the owner of this little agency, is taking good care of us, and works his little butt off to get us more and more show dates. As you can see in our show section, we already posted 6 new dates all over Austria. Besides all of that, we're living our lifes in piece and party as much as we can with all of you in mind. Well, i hope you're all having a good week, do your best but don't work to hard. Spring is at the door and it's about to knock! One more thing left to ask: Can you feel the off beat go?Take care! Six Tin Jonesy:
You wonder what that means? Some very interesting ideas have come up to explain this rather mysterious band name, but, NO, the band won't tell.
All you need to know, and you'll figure it out by listening to the songs and going to the shows is that Six Tin Jonesy stands for fun, ska, party, powerful music, punk and a hell of a good time. The band started out in the fall of 2005, rehearsing and enjoying playing music. Back then, the 5 guys, Chris, Peter Trom, Sascha, Simon and Vince were working on their first own ideas as a band, and didn't dare to imagine where the band would be in a year from then, now fall 2006. Still falling into the category of a rather small local ska band, Six Tin Jonesy is starting to make a name for themselves. After a long search the STJ core was joined by two fellow musicians supporting the horn section. Sarah who rocks the saxophone and Gregor who's sliding the trombone like no other, add amazing power to the bands overall unique sound. Approximately 10 shows in one year and a whole lot of work on their music and themselves as musicians have brought them to where they are now. STJ has enough of music that sounds all the same, enough of tunes you can only listen to for a couple times and then no one will hear of them ever again. The band is starting to set new standards for Ska-Punk and party music.
Six Tin Jonesy is a young band with enough maturity to get a 100 people dancing and enjoying the sweet sound of a good time.
