About Me
I was born Kristopher MacArthur Bell on June 25, 1987 in Oakland, Ca,(Kaiser Permanente)...I'm a Sound Arts major at Ex'pression College for Digital Arts in Emeryville (although I am currently taking a break)
and what drives my burning internal flame is music, specifically as it relates to being an artist and producer.
So you may ask why music? Simply I reply, how can I escape it? From the time I had begun to be developed in the womb, music was apart of my life.
My mother sang all her life, and my biological father played several instruments among which include the bass, the guitar, and the drums.
Now between you and I, when "moms" would sing Summertime, the notes would somber me to sleep both in and out of the womb.
By the time I'd reached a year old I began to hum myself to sleep.
I was raised in the church and being the stepson of a preacher man compelled me to get involved with the church, musically anyways.
So I sang my first solo before the church at three years and before long I had picked up the drums.
Over the years I've self enhanced my ability to sing and play the piano and the organ.
I wrote my first song when I was 11, a gospel song entitled "We Welcome You".
My father and I taught the song to a choir which sang a fundraising concert event to raise money for sickle cell awareness.
During my 12th year, I had the opportunity to sing "You Are So Beautiful" as Courtney Cox entered Grace Cathedral to wed her beloved David Arquette.
I entered several talent shows and got standing ovations once even bombarded by a girl who climbed onto the stage. However I've never won a show before.
I didn't let that discourage me as I continued to sing for church, for girls and for fun. It wasn't until a couple summers ago(2006) when I had thought
to make a living from music. My cousin(Rob Traxx) had called me over to his studio in Vallejo and asked me to sing a dummy track for an artist who'd he'd been working with
at the time. When he heard me sing, he was, for lack of better words, impressed. I asked him to let me add a piano track over the beat he was working on, he liked it
and to make a short story shorter, I frequently composed and wrote more and more tracks at his studio. I've since had the opportunity to meet with and/or work along side Troy Sanders (Messy Marv's Producer),
One Drop Scott (Mac Dre), Kurt Carr, Harm from the Rich, Levitti, B-Legit, Erk tha Jerk, The Diligentz, Marc Garvy, Cali-O, Teknitionz, Kev Choice[first cousin], Heat Rock, Yung Wurld, Too $hort, Kenya Baker, Silk-E,
Raphael Saadiq, and am most currently the lead singer for Tony, Toni, Tone alongside Uncle Wayne (D'Wayne Wiggins) and Uncle Lij (Elijah Baker). Touring
with them aside artists such as Keith Sweat, Johnny Gill, Bell Biv Devoe, Boys II Men, Dru Hill, Bobby Brown, Guy, Lenny Williams, Rufus, and Morris Day &
the Time, has broadened the spectrum of my music greatly. Furthermore, my debut album "From Words to Music" will be sure to capture that...But Ill let you
all be the judge of that;] Thank you for taking the time to read a bit more about MacArthur, I ask that u continue to check into my page for new music as
it comes, dropping a line or two; your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you all again, God Bless & good day...
