About Me

Nice Things People Have Said About Me
You've got great voice and I hope you do really well.
Sarah Nixey, vocalist (Black Box Recorder)
The soft and light songs from Stephen Durrant reach right out and grab you by the collar ... extremely intimite and personal...

...voice not far from that of Paul Heaton, embellished with a touch of Elliott Smith...

Biography (a short one...)
I am a singer/songwriter from Kingston. I write songs that could be classed as something along the lines of 'melodic indie-pop'. I'm inspired by a lot of things - some musical (i.e. The Beatles and Brian Wilson), some not so musical (i.e. David Lynch, the ocean, pug dogs).
I love collaborating with other singers and musicians, so please do get in touch if you would like to work together, somehow. I also have a deep passion for cinema, so would equally like to contribute music to short/feature films if the opportunity arises.
Anyway, thanks a lot for visiting my Myspace. I hope you like what you hear and keep checking back for more songs/upcoming gig dates.
Cheers
Stephen x
