Trippin' -- A Real Trip
BLACKREFER.COM - BEST GENERAL FICTION NOVEL OF 2006
Reviewer: Delores Thornton
(from Blackrefer.com)

A travel club starts off innocently enough, but somewhere between a trip to the Mall of America in Minnesota; a visit to Lake Tahoe, and the buck-wild outing at a nude resort, things get totally out of control! In this tale of betrayal, lust, and love, Buckley takes the reader on a wild ride they won't soon forget. Excellent!

A Trip Worth Taking!!!!
Reviewer: Radiah Hubbert "Urban-Reviews.com"
(from Urban-Reviews.com)

5 STARS. Trippin' is the perfect title for this electrifying novel by Michelle Buckley. Buckley expertly weaves a tale full of drama, suspense, and murder. I loved how this author took seven unique characters and intertwined their stories so effortlessly that the reader will not be confused. From the very first page I knew that this book was going to be more than just a group of people going on vacation. There are so many wonderful twists and turns in this story that you better pay attention or you'll miss something. Trippin' is an entertaining, suspenseful, pageturner that is definitely worth a trip to your local bookstore.

Trippin' Will Leave You Trippin'
Reviewer: Shay C of PeoplewholoveGoodBooks
(from Amazon.com)

5 STARS. "Trippin" is the second novel by Michelle Buckley, the same author who bought us "Bulletproof Soul" . Ms. Buckley proved to be a talented writer with "Bulletproof Soul" but with "Trippin", she shows her versatility and that is the mark of a gifted author. "Trippin" is nothing like her previous work, it is the perfect blend of mystery, suspense, betrayal, and drama. It grabs your attention and draws you in as the identity of the killer will shock and surprise you! Sit back and enjoy the ride! "Trippin" will leave you Trippin!!

Travel Anyone?
Reviewer: Brenda M. Lisbon

4 STARS. In TRIPPIN’, Michelle Buckley has written a novel that grabs you by the seat of your pants and doesn’t let go until you are done. There is drama, mystery, sex, romance, and a whole lot of twisted action. It is guaranteed to keep the reader as enthralled as I was. Ms. Buckley did an excellent job of relating a story about professionals that went over the top a couple of times, but was still sensational and believable. There were many characters in this novel, but it was easy to keep track of each one. You won’t be sorry you chose this book.

4 STARS. TRIPPIN' is the sophomore release by author Michelle Buckley. I was surprised to find a mystery jam-packed with sex, deception, surprises and murder. I was pleased with the twisted tone of Trippin'. As always I found myself cracking up with Michelle's unique words.

ABOUT MICHELLE BUCKLEY
THE AUTHOR OF TRIPPIN' & BULLETPROOF SOUL

Michelle Buckley has lived in the Midwest all her life and she's wanted to be a writer ever since she was a little girl.
Her first novel was Bulletproof Soul. It is a story that celebrates the resiliency of women from the ghetto to the 'burbs. It was released by Carl Weber's Urban Books in May 2005. Her second novel, Trippin' (a tale about a buck-wild travel club) will be released in July 2006.
Trippin' is about twin sisters who start a travel club where every member brings along plenty of baggage. The end result is a tangled web of sex, secrets, drama, intrigue, danger, adventure, blackmail and murder!
As a result of Michelle writing Bulletproof Soul, Black Issues Book Review Magazine included in the July/August 2005 issue as an up and coming African American author -- a 'fresh breeze.' Her novel Bulletproof Soul, (the refreshing tale of one young woman's resilient spirit), was also selected as a VIBE May 2005 Book of the Month and it was chosen as a 2005 Blackexpressions.com 'Editor's Pick' and 'Summer Favorite.'
This is not the first time Michelle's writing has been unleashed on the world. In 2000, she was included in the Essence Number 1 bestseller, Souls of My Sisters (Kensington). SOMS is a collection of true-life essays written by African-American women for African-American women. Others included in the book are women like civil rights advocate Hazel Duke, entertainers Mary J. Blige, Patti Labelle, Lisa Raye, Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and best-selling author Rosalyn McMillan. Her essay, Young, Gifted & Dying, was about a friend that battled cancer and succumbed in her 30s.
In addition to writing fiction novels, Michelle has written four screenplays -- including one that's a contemporary retelling of a Shakespeare classic and one that's the true-life story of a black female soldier during wartime.
Michelle is a former publicist for Hallmark Cards and she's acted as a freelance writer for Black Enterprise Magazine. When she is not working on fiction and nonfiction writing projects, Michelle manages her own Kansas City freelance writing and media relations company, Perfect Pitch Communications. Her company has handled assignments for clients like Black Enterprise Magazine, Hallmark Cards, Health Midwest and the Kauffman Foundation.
Michelle has a wild and vivid imagination that can go from zero to 60 in no time, and that's not just when it comes to her writing! In between writing books and screenplays, she enjoys traveling, photography, catching a good flick that makes her go hmmmm, lively conversation, playing tennis, collecting black art and of course . . . curling up with a GOOD BOOK.
