What are Mondo Fumatore?

Whatever it is, it sure is head-bopping, spastic, flailing fun. Mondo Fumatore, hailing from Berlin, this trio originally started back in 1998 with a rave reviewed album on Rewika Records. Since the drummer left the band pretty much after the first tour, they went on as a duo and started to digitalize their kind of fuzzy indierock sound (ranging from Beck to Sebadoh, but also from The Beatles to Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (the garage years) from album to album. Go wrenche the grounds and exploit the achievements of the pre-sampling-era on the basis of a dictaphone with Mondo Fumatore!
Nowadays Mondo Fumatore have found themselves a new drummer - you might know him: the fabulous O-Love! And they have somewhat returned to a more mature, rock'n'roll sound, of course without leaving the achievements of former electro years behind.
