My Vance. Acting, movies, reading, writing, travel, hiking, spinning (and hopefully soon real cycling), walking (no more running - my knees are about shot). Good food and wine. Art and painting. The beach, the mountains, lakes. Spending time with V'lance. Laughing. Adventures. Walking and window shopping. Spinning class. Observing people. Low brow humor. High brow humor. Wine tasting. Driving with the top/windows down. Cooking. Eating out. Dreaming. Talking about film/tv ideas. Doing something about those ideas. Stand up comedy. Spontaneity. Love and friendship.
Interesting people; artists; thinkers; world travelers... and funny folks

Currently reading Kate - bio of Katharine Hepburn. Just finished Three Junes, The Memory Keeper's Daughter, and The Kite Runner - all great reads and very moving. Others I've read recently or worth noting include The Last Mogul, The Secret Life of Bees, West With the Night, Peppermints in the Parlor (a fifth grade favorite), Peace Like a River (I can't talk about this book without crying), The Hours, What Should I Do With My Life?, Working With Emotional Intelligence, all David Sedaris' books, Empire Falls, So Big, The Devil in the White City, The Art of Mending, The Secret History. Looking at lots of cookbooks, too.
I admire and respect many people... those who show kindness and respect for humanity.... those who are free to just be themselves, in any situation.
