About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) The Origin of the Actors' Boot Camp(R)Six years ago I invited a handful of students, that I was teaching one night a week, to a park (more like a patch of grass) in Burbank and told them it would be free to attend, but they would have to come every day. I explained to them about The Actors' Boot Camp and that our purpose was to see how far we would go as actors both creatively and professionally if we committed to showing up every day and working on our acting every day.As it turns out, 6 years later, the Actors' Boot Camp has trained thousands of actors, and is responsible for guiding, nurturing, and supporting hundreds of professional careers, with 1000(ONE THOUSAND) of our actors making it on imdb.com in just the past three years. No, we are no longer in a park(we actually have some pretty fancy digs – three theaters, and so on) and yes, the Actors' Boot Camp has come to be imitated by many - but as Sanford Meisner put it when people would do impressions of him, "Imitation is the highest form of flattery."

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who want to DO something about their acting, rather than just talk about it at the local bar.

RAINN WILSON "The Acting Corps and the Actors' Boot Camp challenges actors to reach deeper and deeper and develop a reliable technique that immediately translates to working on a film or TV show. Artistic Director Eugene Buica is the best acting teacher I know of in Los Angeles, and he has put together a remarkable acting studio. Go there." Starring as Dwight Schrute on NBC’s current hit, THE OFFICERecurring role on SIX FEET UNDERFeature Films: ALMOST FAMOUS, MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND, starring Uma Thurman, SAHARA, AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS, GALAXY QUEST

SASHA COHEN The Acting Corps is a unique and serious school. It has taught me the fundamentals of acting and continues to teach and nurture me as an actress. This a school for people serious about their craft and willing to put in the time and effort to realize their goals. Everyone involved is dedicated and excited. It's wonderful to have teachers that really care since it impacts the students so much. I have studied at various schools in L.A., but have come to feel at home here. The Daily Acting Workout keeps me sharp as an actress and the Boot Camps are really well structured programs. All I can say is, the style of this school, the serious approach, professionalism, respect and love of true acting has inspired me as a person, making me a much better actress. At the same time it is a place grounded in reality, where you get the truth about the industry from people who are out there doing it right now and tell it like it is. CARLOS ANDRES GOMEZ "The Acting Corps is one of the best acting schools in the country for the simple reason that its teachers never lose sight of the bigger picture – placing integrity of craft and true growth over quick shortcuts and cheap gimmicks. Wherever you are as an actor, or think you are, this is the place to explore and be challenged to find that magic you seek." TRACY VILAR "Finally! I found a strong, solid acting class in LA. Eugene Buica is one of the best acting teachers I've had so far as an artist. He has structured the The Acting Corps to cover almost every aspect of the actor’s career, from technique and scene study to the business of acting, in the most nurturing environment I've ever experienced. Eugene and his staff of teachers are amazing, encouraging and completely tuned in to the specific needs of each actor, what a prize this school is for any actor at any level!"
