Club Ludwig's brief bio.........
Nothing attracts a lively crowd like a bar with a huge dance floor. And since 1956 one of Jackson's historic drinking establishments has fit that bill to a tee. Club Ludwig, 4204 Ann Arbor Road, was built in the 1930s, boasted a large dance floor and was a popular stop for polka, country and big bands. The club has always been a busy place and every Friday and Saturday night attracted about 350 people to the 25-by-45-foot oak dance floor. It was owned and operated by the late John Ludwig until his daughter Patty Buksar and son Jack Ludwig took ownership in 1997. It always had a reputation of being a good place meet people, which is probably why there are stories about the bar attracting people in the military. Those stories date back to the 1940s when it was called the Villa Bee and was a haven for everyone from servicemen in uniform to couples looking for a night on the town. The dance hall attracted big names, like the Tommy Dorsey Band, Ernest Tubb and the Texas Troubadours, Foghat, Blue Oyster Cult, Dixie Allstars (Molly Hatchet/Blackfoot) who would stop over between major engagements in Detroit or Chicago. And hundreds of local bands. From country to polka music to big band to Top 40 and rock, the club always had live bands until it went to all DJ music in 1998. Despite only being open on weekends, crowds still turn out to dance to all types of music. We are located at 4204 Ann Arbor Rd in Jackson Michigan...

Since Octorber of 2005 there has been one hundred plus new bands of all music genre that have performed on Ludwig's stage including national touring artist Saliva, Havok in Hollywood, Multoc, The Happy Accidents, Rikets, Vulpine, and Trashlight Vision.
